Hmm, literally everything is possible at this point. I mean, for the most part the only thing that we've seen so far is that teaser. I'm hoping that there is though. We had them in III yet they were taken out in IV yet Vamps got to stay. Would be an awesome side quest. Werewolves vs. Vampires or something like that.

Werewolves vs. Vampires or something like that.

Do your research before you jump to such silly ideas.

Take a look at http://www.imperial-library.info/content/daggerfall-on-lycanthropy, for it's the only book about lycanthropy. But I'll give you some tidbits, werebeasts are not in control of their actions, Hircine's curse makes it so they are filled with only the drive to hunt. They're lone hunters, and it's very likely that a werebeast doesn't even know other ones, nor do I think they would want to know.

Would make awesome guilds

werewolf guild

vampire guild

you can choose only one, and the goal of each guild is the destruction of the other.

Why because theirs not enough cattle for both groups

Oh I hope so I loved being a werewolf in Morrowind.
But the vamp vs werewolf thing is silly and Hollywood is silly for making it up even though Underworld had an awesome story and an actual reason for the wolfies to hate the vamps. That being said what reason would they have for hating vampires in a ES world? seems to me they would be more likely to hate other were-creatures. I personally think it would be awesome to join an underground war between werewolves and werebears... I would tear wolves to shreds hahaha.

\sort of off topic here but aren't werewolves ONLY immortal in underworld? I've never read anything about a werewolf being immortal in anything else.

Speaking of half-man beasts and vampires, specifically...Any remember the details about Skyrim vampires? It's in the vampire book where it's a hunter getting lessons from a Cyrodiil vampire, I forget it's name. Anyway, he goes to Skyrim and it talks about the vampires there living/hiding below the ice in frozen lakes. I think *that* would be cool...

Have a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Immortal_Blood The Volkihar can pull you through an ice lake without breaking it.

Anyone remember Warewolf-gate back in 2000? Suffice it to say that Skyrim either needs warewolves or one hell of a PR team :P

[edit]Not that Gstaff and Nick are bad at PR, but they might want to hire a few extra interns to take the damage.

You assume werebeasts can think, which is a bad assumption. Werebeasts are nothing more than a daedric curse bestowed upon from the lord of the hunt himself, Hircine. He made it so that those who are afflicted with the curse are filled only with the bloodlust to devour prey. Hell, if two werebeasts met, they'd most likely try to kill each other. The only time they actually seem organized is when Hircine calls his hounds for his hunt.

That's the first thing I thought of! The book is called Immortal Blood They sounded like terrifying, badass enemies. I'm guessing that the game will be great either way, but if I walk across a frozen lake, and get grabbed by the ankle without the ice breaking, I will be supremely happy (until my character's dead).

Well that being said, I think that could be a potential side loop. Maybe werewolves have been here long enough to almost become indigenous to the population. Work as packs as actual wolves do. Obvioulsy a werewolf has little control over his actions but it would be neat to see them re-surface. I alwasy preferred them over vampires.
However they need to be revamped. Vampires in Morrowind was tolerable. Vampires in Oblivion was even easier. But werewolf in Morrowind was impossible nearly. Changing every night seems unrealistic and also just made it so hard. I don't want to say change once a month because then its pointless, but some good balanced system should be devised.

oh really because I remember playing Morrowind and I'm quite sure I actually went against ole' Hircine showing that I did infact still have a brain, but then maybe I was just a special case because the PC is always a special case and that is super annoying. Anyway from what book do you draw this conclusion? pretty sure vampirism is just a daedric curse as well and they keep their brains why couldn't a werebear? also if they are filled with the bloodlust to devour prey, well a bear aint prey neither is a wolf if they met they'd be more likely to turn and go after the little deer behind them since THAT is prey.

I was watching latest Predators movie, and my god did it remind me of Hircine and his realm in Infernal City book. The bit where they whistle the dog-like-creature's back.. omg chills up spine its Hircines realm... awesome

Anyway i hope they have both Werewolves and Werebears. but if they only incorporate one, then i hopes its Werebears just for something new, even tho i like the Werewolves idea better.

As long as they incorporate one there will most certainly be a mod for the other after all it wouldn't be hard to change an already existent werewolf into a werebear or vice versa. Shape changing of some sort, I don't really care what to, is all I ask for.

I can't imagine how I'd feel if werewolves were left out. If they have werewolves and werebears, I might forgive them for missing werewolves in Oblivion.
