Werewolves/Vampires in Skyrim?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 10:28 am

Has there been any news on whether becoming a werewolf/vampire is available in Skyrim?

I never had more fun in a elder scrolls game(or most games really) than I did when I was a werewolf in Bloodmoon. That game nailed the werewolf experience better than anything else that's ever been on the market.. not that there has been many werewolf games to which I can compare it..

Vampires I care a little less, mainly because of how absolutely horrible they were in Oblivion(A spell to svck blood? Really? Massive disappointment) but they are very cool and would be a great addition to the game, especially if they add in a good faction for them and make them "real" vampires.

If they decide not to include becoming a werewolf in Skyrim it's going to be a huge disappointment to me and many others, it would also be pretty silly because of how well they would fit into Skyrim.. I really don't see any reason good or otherwise on why they should not be included other than laziness on the developer's part..

So has there been any information? Thoughts on the subject?

ive been hearing that this twilight movie gave the ultimate werewolf/vampire experiance.
JK i have friends who played morrowind and the way they described the werewolf sounds awsome and would love to experience it myself in skyrim.
if they do put in vampires they better try to do something else with them cause they were pathetic in oblivion

It wouldn't stop me from buying the game but i too would be hugely disappointed if they cheated us for Werewolves again. But Werewolves could be part of any province, it's the other werecreatures like Werebears and Werecrocodiles which is only found in some provinces.

Yeah, being a werewolf in morrowind-bloodmoon was so amazing.. I will never forget it.. soooo much fun.

With vampires they need to make them actually look like vampires and actually have a skill where they svck blood(Not sure how it would be done.. Perhaps you can do it to people who are sleeping or you can use your vampire charms on people of the opposite six then feed off them, oh and you could sneak up behind people and then feed off them too, wouldn't kill people because of how annoying it would be to find new people to feed off all the time but it would just knock them unconscious and make them fall down. Would have to have a fully fleshed out feeding animation for all of this though :) )

I think they would be awesome if they were done like that.

You didn't need a spell to svck blood in Oblivion, that was in Morrowind.

Why does everyone make a new thread when there already is a dedicated thread for this? T__T

There are were-yeti announced for Skyrim. So were-creatures, Myth Confirmed.
According to lore, Skyrim has it's own versions of Vampires that lives beneath the surface of the ice, waiting to claim victims. So Vampire, Myth Plausible.
Ever since Morrowind there has be deceases, however none (to the best of my knowledge) have been specifically be discussed for Skyrim. So Vampirism and Lycanthropy, Myth Plausible.

There is no were-yeti(What the hell is that?). The creature, that "wereyeti" you saw is an Ice Troll. The ice vampires are called the Volkihar.

I do want to see more clans for Vampires and tribal packs for were-wolfs, I actually believe they will include them both, because Solthsteim was like mini Skyrim and if that has werewolves then Skyrim will most likely have werewolves.

I can't believe this garbage. The creature in the screenshot is a troll(Confirmed by the devs themselves).

If this is true, might as well hope for a were-monkey, a were-spider and a were-man.

/sigh

Never really liked the vampires, they feel kinda misplaced in the TES world. In my opinion they would fit in better if they were more like nosferatu but even worse,
horrible looking undead with an almost mindless thirst for blood. The Werewolves ar ok though I guess.

That's just some random site, of which the author can't even recognize a classic TES creature.

I agree. No way Bethesda would butcher the lore with were-yeti.

XD I can't help it, people make all these new threads without even LOOKING or Searching for the other ones O_O insane I tell you! XD

Laziness? How about a better use of time and resources?

NO! :o I think time and resources should have been already used up for making new things into the game, I have a feeling they have added them in yet are just not ready to release info about them, most people want them so why wouldn't they have added them or add them in at later date like DLC?
