Thanks http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chiu/booboo.gif

Also, Skyrim needs to have an expansion pack. They had the Shivering Isles in Oblivion. But how cool would it be to have a hunt in Hircine's realm? Be his hound in his realm. Hell yes! Or be hunted, depending if you have Lycanthropy or not.

Sounds interesting but I would wait till the game is out to even start thinking about an expansion pack

How about an expansion presented as an expedition to Atmora, to hunt down the primordial vampire? It would be a frozen wasteland with only the ruins of villages from the few humans who didn't migrate to the south, now long ago dead. You would hear her eternal screams in the icy wind, that would eventually guide you to her...
For putting an end to her torment and killing her? Or serving her as a vampire for more power than you could imagine?
Edit: Atmora is the continent north of Tamriel where humans came from, the 'primordial vampire' was a maiden [censored] by Molag Bal in the Merethic Era when things were quite a bit wackier, I hope I've gotten it all right. I got it wrong, there were people in Tamriel in the ME and Lamae was ravaged in Skyrim.

I think the vampires of Skyrim should be brooding aloof teenagers who drive Volvos and fight werewolves that never wear shirts. And then there could be some girl thats all like ehhh and then the vampire's like meehhhhh and the shirtless werewolf would be all like but I loved you too baby... Than I get bored and throw rocks at cats and the girls all like this is stupid and leaves. Then Stone Cold Steve Austin gives me some beer. Wanna Wrestle Stone Cold? Yeeaahhhh... We get on harleys and ride into the sunset.

Absolutley, for The Sims 3 Teenage Vamprire Expansion Pack. Although, I don't know how they'd work in the whole Skyrim/Akatosh/Dragon-Born/Nord/Save the Universe angle. Ah-ha! Volvos! Volvos are from Sweden. Sweden has snow, mountans, nordic-type atmosphere! There's your link! Fully justified.

Lamae... I'm not sure where, but if it was in Skyrim, even better! No need to join 'a fabulous expedition to the clutches of frozen death', how tempting is that? Well, maybe if its to catalog (vampiric) penguins?

Speaking of which... how about non-intelligent vampiric creatures, like vampire goblins or trolls or similar? One would think such a condition could be compatible with them. Or maybe it matters little what you are going to simply kill anyway in gameplay terms...

What if they just made the vampires more bestial and animal-like

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Opusculus_Lamae_Bal_ta_Mezzamortie

"Tamriel was still young, and filled with danger and wondrous magick when Bal walked in the aspect of a man and took a virgin, Lamae Beolfag, from the Nedic Peoples. Savage and loveless, Bal profaned her body, and her screams became the Shrieking Winds, which still haunt certain winding fjords of Skyrim. Shedding a lone droplet of blood on her brow, Bal left Nirn, having sown his wrath."

I think we might have a chance to meet Lamae! It;s in Skyrim. Also, there are over 100 kinds of vampires in Tamriel, im sure some will be feral and goblin-like. Kinda similar to the Nosferatu, right?

Well, how would we be able to quest? People would shun the player. Unless Bethesda pulled a Cyrodiilic vampire thing.

Vampirism should have horrible consequences to weight for if choosing to become one. Like impossibility of doing 'civilized' stuff during the day, but during the night... maybe you can use (illusion? vampire?) magic to hide your real nature to the unsuspecting villagers.

Also, a better method to acquire vampirism, like it being possible to actually be accidental. Seriously, with an incubation time of three days, you pretty much have to choose to become one, and I would expect that no sane person (in the game) would want that.

Well, some of us see it as a blessing rather than a curse.

I'm looking forward to seeing vampirism again. I have played a character continuously in 100% vampirism. It's a bit of a PITA but if you have a good charm spell, you can manage.

I don't particularly care whether a werewolf option will be available or not. it's not so interesting to me to play a werewolf because you lose your human (or humanoid) appearance. All of the other "were-" creatures seem to be a bit too crazy, very different from the Oblivion experience.

They're a must have. And these guys should be secretive, hard to find, but extremely deadly. I want to be wandering in the middle of the night, hear a growl, and see a werebear behind me, and then running for my life.

In Morrowind, you could become a Werewolf. In Oblivion, you could become a Vampire. Do you think they'll include both in Skyrim? I was very discouraged from being a Vampire in Oblivion simply because if you didn't feed every day you couldn't go out in the sunlight. Although I highly doubt this, do you think they'll make some vampire / werewolf mix?
I don't play as a werewolf or vampire but they definitely need that stuff back in, as well as other were creatures and more vampire subraces/clans.

The chance of only werebears and no werewolves in zilch. You'll get your werewolves.

Hircine hunts in Mundus once per era.

Thank Talos it's a new era!

IMO, they can focus on making the basics great, and release this kind of thing in DLCs or expansions.

I'd love the option. I was actually looking for ways to become a werewolf in Oblivion until I figured out that it didn't let you :(

But yeah, we're back on familiar turf. A Nordic, snowy environment that is surely going to remind the player of their times on Solstheim all those years ago. Werewolves are a must, methinks.

Hircine hunts with his Werewolves in the Bloodmoon. Doesn't mean werewolves only show up in the bloodmoon....many people assume this also.

Makes me crazy..er

I wasn't implying the curse came from him, but he is "the father of man-beasts", that would mean if he shows his antlers in Skyrim, were-creatures would also, most likely, be there as his hounds, or subjects. And if they are there, the desease can be caught.
