Werewolves & Vampires

Post » Wed Aug 26, 2009 11:36 am

If the only reason you want to buy a game is because there are werewolves and vampires, there's a pretty logical conclusion that can be drawn. If I was wrong, please refute that.

Errr ya, not really o_O, like for example I am insane about finding out with werewolves would be in this game because there are maybe able 3 games in the world that let you be a werewolf *mods of any video game not counted* and like a thousand others that let you be vampires, so it makes ALOT of sense if you are a werewolf nut, I mean hell for my high school book marker contest I did a werewolf theme *think the ones from morrowind* and I won 2nd place.

Edit: wow when does a persons topic get deleted?

Any idea if beth knows how much we want werewolves? I know they weren't going to say anything about what is in the game during the old podcasts before Skyrim was announced and all but they completely threw the question to the wind and wouldn't give a answer.
So I was wondering if they know how many people want Werewolves to be back specially since it is in Skyrim and all and if they even read these boards or threads like this?

Sorry if these are hard to answer questions just wanted to get some opinions and such on the matter that has bugged me since Morrowind/Oblivion

I could have sworn that this was the first post of my topic titled Werewolves and now it is in this thread O__O What the hell is going on? I know i made a new topic cuz I normally don't yet it doesn't show up under the topics I have made now O__O Whats going on>?

Not really a fan of werewolves and vampires, but I do think it would be interesting if there was a wide variety of lycanthropy.

(and hilarious if werewolves were not included in that)

Ya just with diffrent topic title I guess, I thought I posted this first so that makes some sense, eh oh wells

I wonder if werewolves will be easier to find, like if we can find them semi easy, unlike in morrowind where it was a 1 in a 1k chance

You realize that the myth of vampires and werewolves have been around for hundreds of thousands of years right? Twilight books were written just a few years ago.

The fact that you would draw that conclusion is mind boggling.

The game is PRESUMABLY set in Skyrim, so I could only assume that werewolves would make an appearance. Vampires have been in the last two games, so they are very likely as well. The only real question is if you can become half shark alligator half man.

Werewolves and vampires? Mate, that stuff is small time. I'm still waiting on the ability to become a WereCrocodile.

Maybe if a game ever takes place in Black marsh...

"Presumably"? I thought it was set in Skyrim since half of the games sub names have you setting foot in that area or ARE in that area in the beginning in some way

Please link an official source stating that the game will be set in Skyrim. We can only assume, and you know what they say about assuming. For instance, Morrowind was set place in Vvardenfell, not in all of Morrowind.

I think vampires and werewolves are great, they just add more ways to play the game. I loved being a vampire in Oblivion, the stat boosts were amazing, if set up backwards (Vampires need blood to live, which means they get stronger the longer they go without it?) and the downsides could be overcome.

What an epic final boss battle that would be

It should be a race. Like when an Imperial or Dunmer become a vampire, they are no longer the same person.*Vampires of illiac Bay*

In daggerfall,Werewolves and vampires replaced the PC's race. It should be done here.

In Morrowind, you could become a Werewolf. In Oblivion, you could become a Vampire. Do you think they'll include both in Skyrim? I was very discouraged from being a Vampire in Oblivion simply because if you didn't feed every day you couldn't go out in the sunlight. Although I highly doubt this, do you think they'll make some vampire / werewolf mix?

A vampire / werewolf mix is impossible in lore terms.

I would love to have both Werewolves and Vampires in TESS. I am a big fan of both.(No I'm not a Twilight fan )
Questlines would make it even better.

Add playable werewolves and a Hircine's realm expansion pack and i'll be the happiest dude in the world.
