Werewolves & Vampires

I feel like the werewolf thing has already been done in Morrowind, it was always weird to wake up completetly naked in the mornings.

true, but still why only have one option? Morrowind did werewolves (never got to play morrowind so correct me if im wrong) and Oblivion did vampires. Im sure atleast one will be in, but im really hoping for both.

I hope to see both, I am especially looking forward to the Ice Vampires, the ones that beneath some of the Frozen Lakes and burst through the ice, dragging you down to a frozen watery grave. Reallllllyyyy looking forward to having to be paranoid every time I cross a frozen pond/lake/stream/whatever body of water.

Werewolves will probably be close to what they were like in Bloodmoon, which would be just fine with me, as I have always considered bloodmoon to be the best expansion for an ES game ever.

there should be a romance side-quest that lets you pick which side you want to join... and vampires should sparkle....

haha very funny...twilight but i think they could add it if it is more on the realistic side

No way to tell which ones will appear in the game, but Skyrim is the one Elder Scrolls setting where I'd actually give Werewolves a higher chance of appearing than Vampires (of course, both would be great).

I am still very disappointed in the absence of werewolves in Oblivion, and that absence is a main factor in my preference of Daggerfall and Morrowind.

If Werewolves are not in Skyrim I might not even buy it.
(ok that's a lie, I'll still buy it, but wont play it much)

Morrowind had werewolves and vampires. Oblivion only had vampires, which is why people were a bit disgruntled. I would love to see a return to werewolves, considering it was a curse and a consequence a person had to live with. The only issue is there is a cure for vampirism, but what about werewolves? That could have been one of the reasons (as well as lore) why vampires weren't in Oblivion. Either way mystical creatures that players can become always bring another interesting dynamic for the game and I would definitely support it.

I hope they bring back vampire combat neck feeding--like in Morrowind. The biggest disappointment to me with the vampires in Oblivion was the lack of that feature. Well, that, and the fact that the weakness/strength system was backwards. Of course, modders could fix that last problem, but, true combat neck-feeding while fighting would be excellent to see again. I'm still at an absolute loss as to why they didn't include that. Also, just the ability to feed on your thrall while standing--with neck biting animation, neck puncture, some blood.......it was all good in Morrowind. I do like the ability to feed on someone while they are sleeping, but, please, please, please, Bethesda, let us vampires latch on to our opponent's irresistable necks while vertical! Lastly, the neck biting options from one of the greatest vamp mods of MW, Vampire Embrace by Cortex would also be appropriate........assuming we see vampires in Skyrim...

The combat feeding only happened because of Vampire Embrace. actually most of what you said is only in that mod...

If I were a betting man, I would say that vampires will be in. Only slightly less likely will be werewolves. I base my opinion on the fact that we had werewolves in Morrowind, werewolves are popular in pop culture right now, and...it would be a crime not to include them.

never got to play morrowind

You must do this! You poor, deprived soul.

Vampires and werewolves have Been featured in every TES game upto oblivion.

Since it's skyrim the vampires were going to see will be the volhikar ones and werewolves are a neccessity, it's a frozen province of ice, snow and pine forest for talos' sake!!!!

Personnaly I'm hoping we do see volhikar vampires and then also WEREWOLVES and WEREBEARS, just like in daggerfall I don't see why we can't have the option to become 2 different lycan strains. But if I had to choose just one, it would be werewolves even though lore-wise werebears are more common in skyrim though both are found there

Anthropomorphism in general would be very welcome to me, including the curses, but only under two conditions

1) That there's no way it can be sixualised in the vanilla game. Whatever the furry community wishes to make of it, that's their problem, but I will not play a game that even has the slightest hint of furry.

2) Vampires are blood-thirsty, manly and BURN in sun light. They don't sparkle and they do not get overly sentimental and whiny.

And the option to become a werewolf OR werebear makes up for the lack of werewolves in vanilla oblivion

You should try Unholy Darkness mod. It has combat-feeding and many other features similar to Vampire Embrace.

Not unless you want several TES players going on a rampage.

Vampires burn in the sunlight.

I wouldn't mind if the vampires sparkled in sunlight-so long as they're also burning to death at the same time-that would actually look wickedly awesome.

"Ah, look it's so pretty! Wait...by Talos now he's bursting into flames!! But pretty, sparkly flames too!! IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!! I just need to plug my ears to mute those unpleasant screams."

maybe Bethesda should make a Twilight game problem solved, but back on topic Werewolf's would also be a nice addition (not the one's that love shorts) like in Tribunal (I think) but with a bit more depth

I think both should be a possibility, no need to exclude one or the other anymore. It's all about options so the more options the better. So if i end up being "Werevamp" then it will just have to happen. :P
