Werewolves&Vampires 2

Post » Fri Jan 01, 2010 12:01 am

thats fine n all specially the being able to climb walls would be kool like in AVP:P but i dont want them to look like the hulk either, and if it can be SOMEHOW done make a slightly diffrent look for if you are a female character n turn into a werewolf, not saying have boobs or anything but idk make it diffrent somehow, like if they really want to get into it make the states diffrent, like Females have a tad more Speed and Males have a tad more strength but I am just talken like a 5-10 point diffrance

Think there is any chance that in one of the screenshots in the February issue of Game Informer will have a Werewolf present in it, to confirm their inclusion in the game? :biggrin:

I tend to doubt it, but I'd love it if that happened, then I wouldn't have to wonder if it is going to happen anymore.

No I'm pretty sure that won't happen. :sadvaultboy:

I know, just wishful thinking... D: Aside from mentioning it over and over and over at these forums for Bethesda to acknowledge, not a lot more to be done than cross our fingers, and wait...

Oh, and it is slightly off the subject, but it is of a wolf... I think this is so sad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-TA5p_yiEs If you notice a comment made by ssbmaster2007 on there (ssb stands for Super Smash Bros.), that's mine I just made after watching this over several times. ._.

Idk we might get some pics of werewolves or vamps in the GI, them along with dragons will surely sell the game imo. Heres to wishful thinking!

I just had a thought
If Werewolves and Vampires DO make it into this game we will need to have some sort of anti twilight force field put up around these forums. I don't want to be invaded with tweenies asking "why doesn't my Vampire sparkle, this is so unreal" or "why does my werewolf look kinda human, they are just big wolves in twilight." Yes I have had to watch these horrible movies because even presumably intelligent slightly educated girls in college like twilight and think its a great date movie... IT ISN'T BY THE WAY!!

can we keep the announcement on the way down low like, oh I don't know, only these forums and any other publicity is explicitly banned :)

Frankly I would be all for this

And I hope there were no follow up dates. You have my condolences.

Werebears are the werewolves of Skyrim so they must be included. :shocking:

Really? I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.
If they do include this, I'm interested to see how it turns out... :)

In any case, I really really liked the werewolves in Morrowind. They were awesome. Fable 1 did a prety awesome job with the werewolves as well (the balvarine).

Werebears are more common in skyrim than werewolves.
http://www.imperial-library.info/content/daggerfall-on-lycanthropy
In Black Marsh and southern Morrowind, werecrocodiles stalk the swamps. Black Marsh also shares with the Imperial Province and the wetter parts of Elsweyr the vile presence of werelions. Valenwood's werevultures are not found in any other province. The wereboar has found both the climates of High Rock and Hammerfell amenable. As I mentioned before, the werebear is the most common lycanthrope in Skyrim, and is also found in the northern parts of High Rock, the Imperial Province, and Morrowind. The werewolf can be found in every province. The seventh lycanthrope, which I have never seen but my trusted peers have assured me exists, is a wereshark that roams the oceans around Tamriel.

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/oblivion-immortal-blood has some notes on Skyrim vampires, particularly these lines:
"The next day, he did return with more questions, these ones very specific. He wanted to know about the vampires of eastern Skyrim. I told him about the most powerful tribe, the Volkihar, paranoid and cruel, whose very breath could freeze their victims' blood in the veins. I explained to him how they lived beneath the ice of remote and haunted lakes, never venturing into the world of men except to feed."

""Your advice helped me very much," he said. "But you should know that the Volkihar have an additional ability you didn't mention. They can reach through the ice of their lakes without breaking it. It was quite a nasty surprise, being grabbed from below without any warning.""

Something tells me we are more likely to see both as creatures than have an option to become one... Well, mods will fix that eventually :) Anyway I would love a dissent vampire option with clan as an actual faction and quests... Not likely thou :( And the quest line for werewolves was done in Bloodmoon, so I doubt they'll get back to it again... But again, I'd be one grateful fan if they do :)

what about a Lich. There was one in Morrowind I think so fits in lore. It new and has great roleplaying potential. Missions could involve a citadel which you upgrade to stop others attacking your phylactery. Death causes you to respawn at your phylactery unless you are on a different plane. You need to be an evil character. Just making your phylactery is a quest in its own right.

Lich=/=Evil

Vampire=/=Evil

But on topic: I really do hope we have werecreatures.

Yes but than it doesn't make sense to have vampires for so long either if you think of it like they already did a questline, there have been several quests dealing with vampires so why were they in Oblivion?

I hope thye somehow add them in as well because they could if they really wanted to.

Liches ARE evil. To become a lich you have to do some nasty things...
