Everyone, I think this might be the last thread so make it count:) I just don't see a reason for me,myself to make another one *this is the 3rd revival after all* because there doesn't seem to be anything more to talk about that wasn't brought up in the 1st thread.
Someone has already made a second thread, and had to be redirected here. This is the kind of topic that will be talked to death and back again until the game is released.
Honestly? I see werecreatures as a barometer of Bethesda's overall quality of games. We've gotten vampires in DF, MW, and OB. We only got werewolves in MW, werewolves and wereboars in DF.
Basically, if Skyrim does not have werewolves and werebears, I will be disappointed. If they do not have werewolves, I may reconsider my stance as a fan of the series.
Melodramatic, I know, but I have my reasons.
1. It represents the removal of previously employed game elements. Bethesda should never, never, never, never NEVER cut content. Whether it's weapons, guilds, spells, werecreatures, unless there is an in-game reason it should not be included (chitin armor, Morag Tong was native to MW, does not need to be in OB) or if it was truly a useless and unfun feature (nothing I can think of has ever fit these criteria)
2. It goes against the lore. Numerous sources have stated throughout the games that werewolves AND werebears exist in Skyrim, and are in fact quite common.
3. It shows they care about the little things. Will being a werewolf effect the main quest? Probably not. But I'm not playing TES for a linear RPG. I'm playing TES because it is (or was) the series that let me do whatever I wanted.
