Werewolves&Vampires 3

Post » Sun Oct 24, 2010 3:52 am

The lore is there, and it meant to be twisted and expanded. For me personally, I don't care if putting Vampires or Werewolves will break or whatever the lore.I want to see something bad ass, and I'm tired of watching all those YouTube videos turning TES (in the face of Oblivion) into a mockery.I would love to play either as a Vampire or Werewolf, as long as there are enough quests to keep me occupied, and there are factions to interact with.It would be cool to become a Vampire and hunt Werewolves for example, and so on.More factions/content is instant win as long as it's bad ass/epic.(For example look at the older Elder Scrolls games, and note how many factions they had, and for how long the player would have been occupied doing their quests) It's simple as that.

Putting vampires, werewolves, even werebears in the game won't break the lore at all, all of them fit the lore perfectly actually, werewolves are found in all parts of Tamriel, Werebears are the most common lycanthrope in Skyrim, and there's a book that mentions a particular clan of vampires in Skyrim called the Volkihar.
If they aren't all added most of the community will be pretty upset.

Other: The Werehuman

You start out your live as a simple dog; minding your own bussiness. Eating, sleeping, marking fire hydrants. But than it happens: A lunatic human bite you and now on each full moon you get the urge to do all this disturbing stuff like getting dressed, talking, walking on two legs, etc.

*cough* Sorry.

Serious sidenote. I hope bouth get included in a fun to play fashion... but I do not really belive in it until I see it.

The real question here is: "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob"?))

No no no no no No No No NO

By the way, in morrowind, there were non-vampire NPCs that would talk to you while you were a vampire. Stop bothering the Redoran and Temples, they hate you. Some of the less dogmatic factions didn't mind you so much.

As for werecreatures. Their original ability was to be able to shift to and back once a day. On full moons they would become a werecreature for the FULL day. The Ring of Hircine would prevent the transformation if you were wearing it. The only reason you changed every night in bloodmoon was because of the (surprise) bloodmoon. Typically it is once a month.(Or just on full moons)

Can you both just stop?
"and poo" You REALLY need to stop, I reread your topics and alot of the things he has stated you saying you may not have said RIGHT OUT but it sure as hell has sounded thats what you were getting at specially with the Skyrim Vampire discussion.

I forgot but was the full moon thing part of morrowind as well? I only remember turning into one every night tho i haven't killed Hircine yet so would that change the moon back to normal or something? what would it do?

aww I thought my question was answerd
but Ya I don't think EITHER won since it wasnt about winning, I dislike And Poo just because he would sometimes controdict himself, like Gytrash said he didn't have to straight out say anything because his posts and the way he wrote them said his dislikes about vampires n what not and how or how not they were mostly playable in the games and Gytrash was trying to point that out, either way it shouldn't have gotten out of hand like it did

I should clarify since everyone thinks everyone is a PC gamer, I am a console gamer.
So did it work in the Bloodmoon for morrowind? Because it seems to me that whenever I turn into a werewolf in MW it happend each night

in my opinion, it would be stupid thing for bethesda NOT to implement vampires and werewolves, considering in these current times, where they are very popular and would no doubt draw alot more potential buyers to the game. especially after all the rage of oblivion not having any werewolfs.

i personally hope for skyrim vampires(because freezing someone's blood sounds awesome), werewolves and werebears.

I'm sure Morrowind will get interesting enough for you with some mods.

You transformed every night in Morrowind because of the bloodmoon.(Even after the hunt because of game limitations) All other examples of werewolves in TES suggest they transform once a month normally.

Abilities - I'm not sure if this was only invented by movies like Underworld, but perhaps after a certain amount of time, you can learn to harness your powers. So you start out only changing on a full moon. However, progressively you learn the ability to change at will. Strength, Agility, prowess etc. all heightened. A 'pounce' ability which will target an NPC and taken them down to the ground, giving you the option to leave them on the ground and run off, or kill them.

I like this idea very much. If more work was directed at doing animations in BGS games I would say that the longer you are afflicted with lycanthropy the more animal your movements should become (or perhaps just the closer to the full moon you get). The pounce idea I like especially. If I am a powerful werewolf under the skin, then when I fight savagely people should be in awe and wonder if I am truly human. Even if it's a scripted sequence, having someone remark at the way I tore at an enemy's throat like a beast would be neat.

I voted that we should be able to become vampires and werewolves. I don't know to what extent other were creatures are actually confirmed to exist in TES, but anything other than a werewolf just seems silly to me.

You do know that in Skyrim werebears are the most common type of were creature? It'd make no sense l ore-wise to have Werewolves and not werebears.

Werewbears are more common in skyrim however werewolves are found in every province and are more popular too so out of both hopefully werewolves although I hope they go daggerfall and have both werebears and werewolves,

TES could tap into the Twilight market and be the first major RPG to have a female fanbase larger than the male side :P

EDIT: Just have commercials showing hunky vampires and werewolves then let imagination do the sales pitch for them.
