So here is the pod cast

Pod cast which is located here http://www.gameinfor...ddhowardse.aspx
Listen at around 9:40-10.05 or so

That is the only hope we can get to having werewolves in the game, no vampires had been talked about though so that was a bit odd.

There has still not been any info as to werewolves or vampires being Confirmed to be in Skyrim, either in the main game or an expansion or even some DLC for that matter, we still have 9 months to go *starting Feb 11th anyways* so hopefuly we will get some sort of surprize before the game is released showing us Werewolves and Vampires are in the game and hell maybe even some other creatures that we can either transform into or we all know and love (Honkers). :)

These are the past Threads
I have no idea how to name links so there it is in order from thread 1-6

One of the threads was merged because someone made a Werewolves&Vampires thread after i did....but I am the original creator of all threads Werewolves&Vampires :D Yes I am a nut case!

First post that created the Werewolves&Vampires thread/s started back in Dec 2010, 3 months ago and we have had over 6 threads each thread had 11 pages with makes 66 Pages and each thread carried over alittle over 200 Posts each which would make 1200 Posts total I believe.

We have done alot of discussion about this and maybe Bethesda has Finally noticed.

This is what I wrote in Thread 6 about what I want werewolves to be like, note I did not put anything about Physical looks but I would love it if they looked like the werewolves in Dog Soldiers but you know with special effects and in a video game tho do a transformation sceen like maybe from Being Human, anyway here it is.
(I mean the BRITISH BETTER version of Being Human not that damn American version (American citizen here)

"I do NOT want to be out of control like I am watching a movie when I see my character go and kill someone

This is how I think it should go besides being able to get Hirculine's ring to PREVENT a transformation *I would only use this if I have a mission to go to and I have to turn on a full moon
What I want:

1.Transform for both full moons, can't stop transformation ever unless you have a spell or the ring to use (more likly the ring)
Now I don't know anything about the full moon lore in TES, so I don't know if the moons are full only 2 times a month like in real life or what *yes our moon on earth is full 2 times a month, the day before the official full moon n the official full moon date, example everyone knows that the moon will be full lets say on the 30th well it is also full on the 29th.Or something like that lol.* Ok so like lets say the 2 moons become full 2 times a month, which technically equals 4 times since there are 2 different moons that could become full at different times (???) so that would mean you turn into a werewolf atleast 4 times a month....
That seems like a good number to me tho me being greedy I would want it to be more some how but i like being FORCED to turn into a werewolf yet still have all control over her when i turn......

2.We should have better attribute point checks than in MW, example in MW my werewolf character would have a Acrobatics of 80 I believe it was yet in human form she had a Acrobatics of 100, if anything the attruibute points should go UP when you become a werewolf to whatever they are in Human form to how many points the devs want... I didn't care how my human character was STRONGER than my Werewolf character besides the resistant to certain things and weakness to silver.

3.Number 2 brings up a point, anything we gain from becoming a werewolf, strength or weaknesses should be passed over to when we are in human form, example:
Werewolves are weak to Silver Weapons by a certain percentage *forgot the number* lets say its 75% well when we become human we should ALSO still have that weakness to silver, we still have the wolf locked away inside ourselves till the next full moon/s anyways so it makes sense.
Another example is speed: lets say my speed as human is 45 *before I became infected by a werewolf* and as a werewolf lets say it becomes 80, yet as when I turn back into human after my first transformation my speed in human form *along with any other states that incress like Strength* should go up by like 10-15 points this could also be in the perk system, like 3rd to last perk for the werewolves could be a point incress while in werewolve/human form of an extra 5-10 points, BUT everytime you level up ur attributes as a human lets say i take it up from 55/60 *from being a werewolf added points* to 60/65 than it should stay that till my 3rd to last perk upgrade as a werewolf OR I level up, but the whole thing with gaining more sttributes from being a werewolf only happens ONCE when you first become one or with a 3RD to last PERK UPGRADE....

4. Should be able to climb on walls in werewolf form, yes to much Underworld I know I don't know if this mixes in with the lore or not but hey Beth has bent Lore many times I hear :)

5.Like in past games if a person sees you transform than you are [censored]!! BUT this would deal with the Radient Story stuff but I hope like in a matter of seconds that every NPC in the whole game across continents even all of a sudden know I am a werewolf even tho I was just found out 5 seconds ago O___O You also should get the chance to follow them home either as a werewolf or human character to either bribe them to not tell or just kill them off when they don't or do expect it in anyway you please...Last part would have to do with finishing moves maybe

6.Good finishing moves, I want to see my werewolf claw at a guys throat as one and actually see the blood and gore in great detail *may not happen* or atleast to bite at a limb and rip it off to kill them, these could be normal moves to but I want some kind of finishing moves like how vampires should be able to jump on a wounded NPC or healthy one and start drinking their blood.

7.Great Perks only for being a werewolf, maybe a feeding animation just better than the cannibal one in Fallout, I actually want to SEE them getting ripped to shreds and eaten. Maybe a perk that lessons the damage by a little as you upgrade it to silver weapons or the need to not have to kill a human every time you transform to live, maybe be able to kill 5 animals depending on size that would still keep you semi full for when you turn back to human yet won't let you die from not eating."

Bloody hell thats alot so sorry for all that mess just didn't feel like editing stuff out even tho i got ninja'd on alot of it sorry everyone hope this is ok? :sadvaultboy:

Thank you sir or madame!

Also of importance to remember: According to Tamrielic Lore (which it seems Bethesda devs themselves often seem to forget) Vampires are actually UNDEAD. This means, as a vampire, the player should DIE before returning to unlife as a vampire. As seen in Daggerfall, the player should decease, and a funeral procession carried out. The player will be laid to rest, resetting ALL faction affiliations, reputations, fame/infamy, etc. The player will then awaken in a crypt, entombed. Becoming a vampire should be terrifying and suspenseful to the player. After all, it is a disease; an affliction that is deadly and horrible.

As for lycanthropy, another great addition would be waking up naked in a semi-random location after you have a... night out on the town, if you will.

Again in the spirit of Daggerfall, after a time of being a lycanthrope or vampire, hunters will come after you. Maybe this will happen once a year, once a month, in any case they should be well armed and challenging to defeat. Also, they should be persistent. After all, being afflicted is no walk in the park!

On the same coin, after it is somewhat known that you are alycanthrope or vampire, witches, magi and priests should contact you via letters, etc, about curing your terrible curse.

Finally, in regards to each of these diseases, power should be gained not through feeding or not feeding, but through TIME SPENT AS A VAMPIRE OR LYCANTHROPE! In ES Lore, as seen in Daggerfall AND Morrowind, the ANCIENT vampires and lycanthropes are ALWAYS the more powerful ones! Feeding or no feeding, vampires and lycanthropes should start out weak and disoriented, and over a LONG period of time, they should become very powerful, just as it is in the lore.

Well, maybe it just depends on the Vampire clan?
Like the process of becoming is a lot faster for Cyrodiil/Vvardenfell vampires?

Besides I think resetting everything for your character is pretty much impossible for Skyrim, just imagine all the extra dialogue and stuff it would need for that.
Also; I want an option to be a Vampire/Werewolf at character creation for Roleplay purposes. :D

Oh, and something that is desperately needed: passing on your gift! Procreation is a strong animal urge, no? And the only way you can procreate as one of the afflicted is through infection! When you feed on someone as a vampire, or attack someone as a werewolf, you should be able to choose to infect them! Or maybe choose to leave them alive and there will be a chance that they will become infected, and will later contact you throught Radiant Story, perhaps seeking revenge, perhaps seeking companionship, or perhaps offering knowledge of a cure.

EDIT: I agree with the comment about chargen vamps/werecreatures. It makes sense.

On the topic of different clans transforming differently I'll have to see, but I'm fairly certain most if not all vampires in ES Lore die.

We talked about this in a past thread and only issue that came up there is that think of what would happen in that. I mean lets say you are a vampire, infect a person, leave and come back a few days later than EVERYONE in the village is infected, might seem pretty kool at first but than you have to think about how easy everyone would die and maybe not everyone has a daughter to take their place like shop keepers do than there goes alot of quests and NPCs in one night/morning same if you were a werewolf

That is an interesting and absolutely delightful concept, but I agree. Very game-breaking, unfortunately. A work-around may be integrated questlines for vamps and furries to infect a specific companion(s) rather than random people at the players' whim.

Oh, and Lore suggests that vampires do in fact die: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Vampire

EDITT: Oh, and of course! Vampires should be able to feed on non-human, warm-blooded creatures, as suggested in Daggerfall Lore. Sheep, wolves, dogs, etc... the humanitarian way for vampires to stay fed! :)

Did people doubt that vamps died? O_O odd lol

Yes I think it would be very kool if we could infect people for sure but than maybe they could as well but like have a limit of 3 people they could infect YET tho people who the person you infected, CAN NOT INFECT anyone else, that way it will keep it balanced so we can have more werewolves in game if there isnt alot or vampires to talk and hang with unless they all go mad..

Another thing I want as a werewolf character is how i was talking about physical appearances well maybe instead of that make it mental? Like you know in American Werewolf in London/Paris where the main character would have dreams or start going crazy and seeing his victims all bloody and such and tore apart from when he was a werewolf? well do this BUT have it so that the night/s before a full moon/s have it appear that some NPCs would get some re-texture done so that they looked torn apart but only to the PC and have the PC react accordingly.... That might be to much to ask for tho lol

As in what, they go straight from a living specimen to an undead crypt-walker? :P The lore states that Poryphoric Hemophilia, the diseas of Vampirism, has an incubation period of 72 hours, where-upon the victim "dies." Oblivion merely failed to emulate this

In any case, quest-based infect-ees, if you will, would certainly not possess the capability to infect other NPCs. In fact, werewolf and vampire NPCs would likely not have the ability to infect anyone but the PC, just like in every other Elder Scrolls games to date.

The thought of forming your own wolf pack or clan of vampires is amazing. :sigh: ... we might need a new game to fit all of the content we can imagine up though... maybe an entire expansion based off of Lycanthropy, Vampirism and similar afflictions, curses, gifts or taboos such as Corporus, Lichdom, Necromancy, being an apparition, and everything else ES Lore has touched on but never really developed too well. Although THAT is most likely the realm of modders, unfortunately. :\

EDIT: Corporus is obviously a disease native to Morrowind. It was merely an example.

To me, vampirism is a much higher priority to be in skyrim than werewolves. Having both as an option would be best though.

Its encouraging that Todd said they're at least experimenting with ideas of that vein, hopefully trying out various implementations of both werewolves and vampires.

Not really, the disease needed three days to take over, and then you would die the next time you slept and you would be a vampire.
Oblivion's Implementation of this could have been done better of course, but yeah.

I think there's a low chance that there will be werewolves in the main game, but I think there's a high chance that we get werewolves in expansion.

Oh ok i didnt know that but you always have to to think, ok were did all the vampires come from besides the first one in the ES games to date? they had to have been infected somehow u know?

LOL ya sadly it would be up to modders unless Todd makes a expansion for werewolves like Bloodmoon tho I doubt he will since he already did Bloodmoon and everything XD,like why would you made an expansion for anything if you have Already done it before? I just don't understand Todd on this because he made it sound like that he wanted to get it right this time if he adds werewolves/vampires well atleast for werewolves IMHO he did a great job with them in MW:Bloodmoon, hell that expansion is the ONLY reason why I got into TES games to begin with, I SAW werewolf on back of box of the GOTY and went "HOLY [censored]!!!!MINE!!!" I like mods for sure but it blows that us 360/PS3 users will never get to try them without going to PC and atleast to me I hate PC gaming

Wouldn't really count on it. Depending on how exactly the game starts, there'd be the problem of you changing during the tutorial area (if there is one). IIRC, Oblivion even starts at 1AM on a full moon.

But aside from that, it'd be incredibly unbalancing. A werewolf/vampire is supposed to be strong and dangerous, and giving that kind of power to a level 1 character would really cause problems. Imagine getting into an area as a strong werewolf, then change back and be surrounded by enemies that are too tough for your level, or using your extra strength and abilities to clear out dungeons to get high-level treasure at lower levels.

Also, consider that because werewolves/vampires are strong, you're not likely to have survived an encounter with one as a weakling level 1 character. And even if you managed to survive a bite or scratch, infection is not a guarantee. Though it's not a completely impossible scenario, I think the improbability along with the gameplay issues would lean it heavilly to the 'not at start' side.

Just as important as being able to be a vampire or werewolf, is to be able to become a vampire or werewolf hunter! Ooooh how I long to get my Van Helsing on with a string of prayer beads about my neck, silver shortsword at my hip, garlic cloves, canis root, holy water and stakes ready to be dispensed at any passerby that so-much as twitches in my general direction... aaaah.

I would also like to see some elements of Daggerfall's lycanthropes and vampires return; damage from holy places, complete immunity to any weapon lower quality than silver, forced transformations on full moons and Hircine's ring, just to name a few. Special perks for furries and nightfolks would also be spectacular. Oh! And who can forget CLOAKS FOR VAMPIRES?! Come on, you've GOT to be able to be a daywalker sometimes! As long as they keep it balanced, maybe making vampires severely weakened in sunlight but not necessarily burning alive, then there shouldn't be any gamebreaking advantages.

It's safe to say that this is the part of the game that excites me the most. :)

No. Only Cyrodiilic vampire should be "daywalkers". And Cyrodilic vampires don't take damage from holy places. Hell, the priest guy himself was a vampire in "Immortal Blood" and the story took place in a Chapel. How cool is that?

And I wonder if werewolves are immortal? Thirsten-Heart Fang was a werewolf and he lived for generations. Maybe it's because of Hircine's ring, but I think he used it to cover up his Lycanthropy. I mean, Hircine will return again in the fourth era with his hounds. maybe they are kept immortal by him? Frozen maybe(Remember the werewolves in the maze in Bloodmoon. They were frozen statues until they came back to life as soon as you walked by them.

And I wonder if werewolves are immortal?

They have extended "natural" lives, at the very least (though I'd wager most werewolves live very short lives due to getting themselves killed when they lose control in beast form; plus hunters). Though I don't think Heart-Fang was technically a werewolf. I think he just used the ring to change (and get the benefits of long life), but didn't have lycanthropy. Carius mentioned how Heart-Fang was a good person seduced by dark power, or something along those lines.

Oh yes. That would be equally awesome. I'm willing to bet that they have prolonged lifespans.

Vampire idea.
Vampires should get slow health regeneration if they are well fed.

Doesn't really need further explanation I think...
