They didn't build airships again, that's for sure. I think like Styles, that they walked the entire way. In Power Armor. Without pauses. Part of the Bethesda magic Dario Meza mentioned, they also got there within three weeks,

In what direction?

Across the Pacific to Australia, then after they had resupplied on kangaroo meat and laser boomerang technology, they continued to swim to South Africa. There, they unfortunately had to trade the boomerangs with the post-war Boer for some rafts and slaves to act as the engine to continue their journey because Lyons refused to travel any more in this uncomfortable way on top Scribe Bigsley, apparently he kept an unsteady pace. Then they continued straight up the Atlantic till they came to DC where they traded the slaves for Pentagon to raiders. Oh, and the slaves aren't black either, they are other Boers, to avoid getting flamed for being racist :)

Now that's just ridiculous. Why wouldn't they just swim through Panama Canol?

Giant mutated bananas, tearing through Power Armor like a knife through butter on a sunny day.

They fast traveled.

They had no business being there, it stunk of lack of creativity to simply cut and paste an iconic faction like the BoS into the new Fallout.

I can understand what they were going for (familiary with familiar factions) but it ended up being unoriginal and a boring ass story.

They were told that there was 2 million dollars in a locker in the DC metro and the first one there got it. They all then proceeded to race across the United States using Planes, Trains and Auto-mobiles whilst having the most wacky of hi-jinks such as stealing an aeroplane, hitch-hiking with a mad axe murderer, and borrowing a car which unbeknownst to them had a dead body in it.

Are you just going by the dialogue in FO3 because there was a whole game about that called fallout tactics which was based around a different section if the BoS many years before FO3, and in the end they stayed in Chicago. So the FO3 brotherhood is not the Midwestern BoS

It's about 3,000 miles from most places on the east coast to most places on the west coast of the USA and 3,400 miles at it's widest point. According to Yahoo Maps the distance from Lost Hills, CA, to DC is 2732.92. If their destination was Jacksonville, FLA, then the 2000 miles figure would be accurate. Sorry to nitpick, but I keep seeing the 2,000 miles figure come up on this board and I couldn't resist mentioning it any longer. :ermm:

Nonetheless, that's a long way to walk in Power Armor.
