[WIPz] Westly's Head Replacers (still working on a better ti

I've been wondering: what exactly is meant by using VV as a "base" for these replacers?

Well, it isn't entirely finished. So as long as it isn't finished you can use something along with it to change the vanilla stuff.
And VV is also pluginless and work without problems with westly's work.

When you mentioned hairs, do you mean to have Imperials have greco-roman hairstyles?

Oh, I quite like those! I also requested a particular Roman hairstyle from him earlier too. I'm happy with whatever we end up getting, of course.

Oh, I see. In that case, I think I'd rather compile a temporary pluginless replacer of my own, as I can't honestly say I'm all that fond of VV and the like. Thanks for answering though.

Or do you have something of yourself?

I modified Emma's female Dunmer heads and used those to replace VV's. The others don't bother me so I left them alone, but those Dunmer females weren't to my liking.

Returning to Morrowind and seeing these faces in-game is an incredible experience for me from time to time. I've been playing too many of those games recently with the featureless blank heads you can customize extensively, but never quite to the point where they would look apart. These characters have soul, I tell you.

Thank you for sharing these, Westly!

Got in Morrowind today for the first time since most of these were released; can't wait until all the faces I see are done by you. It's a fantastic change. :D

Westly
First of all thank you for your work. Your mods gives me a lot of good time while playing morrowind. And now to the topic.
What is the approximate release date?

I love the work your doing here, have been using better heads for ages and have refused to change or use anything diffrent, even your mastter head pack (only because the npcs look way worse then me) cant wait until the dark elf replacers are shown.

This exactly. I think I might have to replace my headpack that had Morgan Freeman greeting me at the docks when starting a new game to this one. It's nice to see extra personality on characters such as makeup, beards, scars, tattoos, etc. Things that are impossible for Oblivion. You can fold a piece of paper into different shapes and sizes but in the end it's still the same old blank piece of paper.

 doh!

I checked all over that first post, but I have a firefox plugin that replaces image links with actual images. So it bumped my screen up a few posts from where the 'hidden links' were supposed to lead to. >.<

Thanks!

Indeed, I am still working on these ;) .

I have to take a break from them every now and then, though, else I dream of
the UV maps (I've been making faces for Morrowind for five years now, so one
tends to dream lucidly when it comes to the hundreds of textures cobbled in
that period of time :D ).

Thanks for letting us know, Westly. Are you planning on releasing new versions of the faces and hair styles of the Nords that came with Bloodmoon?

Very nice! I'll certainly be using these when they are finished. Are you going to replace the beast races as well?

We've got nearly two pages of nothing but bumps (and one post from Westly confirming what we already could have guessed, that the project is indeed still being worked on). I vote we all dial it back a bit so that we don't hit the post limit before he even has a chance to release new screens ;)

I second this. Eagerly awaiting the dunmer as well. Would be cool if the dunmer eyes were glowmapped or something so they would glow in the dark a bit - according to the lore I believe they are supposed to.

The Dunmer heads, at present, have separate meshes for the eyes (making it easier to make them glow without a real need for too many additional textures). So I am working away at these (as well as a few dozen other projects including "upping" the detail and resolution in all of my previous head textures in the MHP [with the probable exception of the "Modelling Agency" heads, "Mystic Young Males" and the "Ren Style" heads]). This is the project that never ends, it seems, but I want to be sure that I do the best that I am able with the new textures and mesh alterations.

'Til Later
