Why not post them on DeviantArt or something similar and link us to that?

Hey, Wes, if your still looking for inspiration, might I suggest looking at the Bosmer in Battlespire? If you don't have the game, I could send you some screen shots of them to help you out.
Hope I could help ;)

Here, maybe http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2008454 artistic render I made of a Bosmer might be of some inspiration. :)

Very nice, Zaarin; it humbles me that I am a source of any inspiration for your other renders :embarrass:
I'll do my best not to disappoint with these forthcoming heads  .

Sure; if you have any screens, then feel free to post 'em :) .
A look to the past might just spark a vision for the future (as far
as these heads are concerned ;) ).

Glad you liked it. :) Considering it's been ages since I've played a character without using one of your heads (and your skin texture replaces and Alakazar's Lamp and...etc. ;) ), I think it's pretty natural that your work would inspire my Elder Scrolls-inspired renders. :) Hope you get your muse back soon. :D

Thank you, Mirelurk21; those screens were definitely inspiring. I will be sure
to make a few flower adorned hairs for the females (perhaps from flowers that
fell off the plant so as not to violate the "green pact") :) .

I did not want to post the pics of the heads until I had them all formatted
(like my previous screens). However, I have a bit of work to do (not mod
related) so I thought it would be best to post what I have where I am able.
So here is a look at the females (Original Heads compared with new textures
on Modder made meshes as well as new textures on the Original meshes):

Hopefully I will have time tomorrow to format the male screens; for now,
though, the females will have to be sufficient :twirl:.

Odd. I had somehow come to think that all vanilla Bosmer had jet-black eyes. These look beautiful, but I'm kind of disappointed that their race isn't as distinctive as I once thought.

I hate how the BH bosmer don't even have black-eyes like the vanilla heads. Which is why I'm so anxious for these new heads.

Woohoo! I love the new screens, especially the way they stick so closely to the originals. As other people have said, it's nice to see the black 'alien eyes' again B)

I'm back to Morrowind again after several months off--I remember posting in the old thread! It looks like the Imperials are being saved for last, but then I guess the best things are worth waiting for! It's heartening to see that this is still going.

All the best, and I look forward to your further updates. :)

No worries, Lady Nibenay :); I am gradually getting back into a modding rythm (which, of
course, allows for more expedient and efficient work). I will probably do the Imperials
before the Dark Elves, now, and release them in their own separate pack :) .

Now for the Male Wood Elves:

Wood Elf Male (Original/New Meshes & New High Rez Textures http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Mod%20Head%20Packs/WAR_WOODELF_M01a_BFRAFTR.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Mod%20Head%20Packs/WAR_WOODELF_M02a_BFRAFTR.jpg)
Wood Elf Male (Original/Original Meshes & New High Rez Textures http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Mod%20Head%20Packs/WAR_WOODELF_M01b_BFRAFTR.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Mod%20Head%20Packs/WAR_WOODELF_M02b_BFRAFTR.jpg )

Now, there are a few deviations on the "Original High Rez" textures, most
notably the noses. On the originals, obviously, quite a few of the male
noses are "upturned/snubbed". However, though the texture gives this
appearance, the actual mesh does not align with the look of the textures
(as the so called snub nose end does not end at the tip of the nose but
halfway down). So, for my own sanity sake, I continued the noses so that
they "fit", rather than just laying in an illfitting manner on the head meshes.
Likewise, for many of the heads, the eyes also were remade a bit so that they
fit into the mapping of the eye. So, of course, this will cause a bit of a change
from "vanilla" to new textures on the original meshes.

All in all, I am satisfied (as the original spirit is maintained, even though corrections
to the fit of the textures have been made) ;) .

'Til Later, All

I think they look perfect Westly! Although, I think the horns on the last head in the first picture of the New Meshed Heads could be a little blunter.

Looks fantastic! :goodjob: Fargoth will be thrilled to look like his old self in my game :D

I like the horns as they are, but would it be possible for you to break with the lore a little bit and give them a 'bonier' (one letter off from the obscenity filter freaking out, haha) texture? He reminds me a little bit of a faun or satyr :D

If you do keep the texture the way it is, it may be better to dull the horns down, however. As they are, they would rip through the skin :D

Will you release the Wood Elf's separately? Or must we wait for the Red-guards as well.

May I suggest for your WIP title a reference to Princess Langwidere? Head replacers always make me think of her and Return to Oz.

These look great so far. :)
