Yes, indeed :)

Wow, very nice. Never understood the love for Mazken in oblivion, I always liked the aloofness of the Aureals.

aaaah! thanks for reminding me how [censored] ugly oblivion golden saints are <_<

i'm liking the replacer, the golden saints have needed replacing for quite a while, any chance you could replace the silver saints and dark saints from piratelord's creatures mod?

edit: just for the record, i didn't swear, i just said a phrase that gets censored :D

I would/could, but I will/would wait for PL's blessings first (as I did have a few ideas
for my own game concerning their possible appearance; unique enough from the Saints
shown here, yet still readily apparent that they are all "related" :bolt: ). I wouldn't dream
of doing so without his consent in any form (even if I released such a replacer as a separate
mod, I would not feel comfortable unless PL approved :) ).

EDIT: Besides, I still have quite a few other creatures to hand off to Piratelord (must stay focused, must stay focused :P ).

Hey guys, was wondering. Anyone of you that have played that old FPS game, Unreal Tournament? If so, two words from that game come into my mind while watching Westly's stuff. GODLIKE and UNSTOPPABLE. The second words I really means, cause to me your like a fricking unstoppable machine that keeps spiting out great quality mods. And may I say, it's most appreciated also. Kudos to you big W.

Cheerio.

Wonderful stuff, Westly. Thanks for catering to everyone with a replacer and a new race.

EDIT: Besides, I still have quite a few other creatures to hand off to Piratelord (must stay focused, must stay focused :P ).

Finally!

That reminds me I need to get to work on recreating the Mazkens for my mod. The permission to incorporate this (unaltered, of course), still stands?

Would you take on a request to recreate the Mazken armor or would I have to turn to someone else for that?

Great work in any case.

DJGamer- of course you can still use these in your mod :).

As for the continued discussion going on here, I have to say that it feels REALLY awkward (boy howdy). The mod is only a day old and there are already changes in contention (just let is simmer for a while; stewing in its juices "as it is" without rushing to change it). As for the recolour, perhaps this is something that should have been asked of me to do (from source textures) rather than jumping the gun (as such usually lands one with a shot foot); as many can attest, one only has to ask and I am usually more than happy to oblige with such alterations on my end of the compy (but for this mod I had to settle on one version, else the amount of choice in tone I could have cobbled would have been too great). In truth, the resutling Saints that you see were an agonising ordeal as far as getting the textures to a level that I was satisfied with for a release; I have around 10 separate archives labeled (for example) "Yellow Toned Textures", "Bronzed Textures", "Darker", "Lighter", "Rusted" (and so on). So you see, what I have made is completely intentional (in design and execution). What I wanted was to make the skin tone match the armour tone (so that the Saint and their armour might exist as one; as if the skin itself was poured from the same molten forge as the golden bronze for the armour while still having the softness of flesh. The slightly more "orange" tone was intentional as well (else they look like creature versions of Altmer; not that there is anythign wrong with that, I just wanted to make then "different" :) ).

Rest assured, I can also do a recolour (in fact, I could do them seemingly to infinity); who better to do so
than the original author of the textures, enh (again, all one has to do is ask)?

Take Care, All; No Worries

EDIT: Whoops! (I left out quite a few letters in far too many words; looks like my sleepy-time meds are starting to wuuuhrk... :snoring: )

Westly, these screenshots and, from the readme and your posts, the very thoughtful design you have put into this mod are, in my view, exceptional. I think you have outdone even yourself with this one and I am very much looking forward to getting it into my (soon-to-be-reconfigured) game.
Edit: Thank you especially for combining the potential to use the race, the replacer and drops. I wish more of the wonderful race mods being created combined similar potential. :poke:

One question - the Staada drops do not conflict with any quests in which she is involved do they?

Quite a few off-topic posts went away. Sorry if some posts were arbitrarily swept up but the topic is Westly's lovely mod.

If someone has a question about something they'd like to see or try with the mod, maybe a PM to the mod maker would be in order at this point, rather than risk another thread derailing.

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled program. :)

Staada's only changes are the additions of the items that she will
now drop (nothing was removed from here inventory otherwise). And, of
course, her creature model has changed. Other than these changes, she
remains the same; the quest that involves her is intact, only now there will be
more rewards for defeating her :) .

Well, if you have already gone through the Staada quest,
there is a crate (not in game) that has all of the Aureal gear stashed
inside (one that I used for testing; just console in
Spoiler
WAR_GS2_Crate

and the items will be at the ready for your use ;) .
