Weynon Retreat

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:44 am

I'm trying out the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=4594 house mod - or at least I'd like to...I can't find even the first clue!

I did find a note in the well but I don't even know if that was a clue. There were no tips where to look for anything or anyone. I've scoured the property to no avail. The link to the tips on this forum is no longer valid.

Does anyone have a copy of the clues, or could someone remember a place I should start? I'd really appreciate it. Otherwise I'll have to put this mod away until I can find some tips.

Does anyone know anything about this mod? It's been on folks' favorite mods lists so someone must have played this that can give me some clues. Help please. :)

walk the road up the mountains toward the shrine of Hermaus Mora and keep your eyes peeled for a small campsite. It's just a ring of stones but your next clue should be there I think. :D

2nd Clue
Spoiler
Is a crumpled piece of paper near the bench outside Hermaus Mora's shrine, won't appear until you claim the first clue WhoGuru described.

3rd Clue
Spoiler
Keep following the road from Hermaus Mora's Shrine west through the mountain pass. Where the snowy mountain begins to turn to forest you'll see the missing prior's horse. Approach the horse to proceed.

Wow I'm glad I persisted to ask. I'd have probably never found that camp - that clue was too small of a clue in the vast world. :D Thanks for the second and third clue too. I'll be back if I get stuck again.

Hello again. :)

I made it all the way to the shrine, and passed the tiny camp along the way - I found a hood, an apple, some gold and something else (I forget but it wasn't important). No quest updater happened, no nothing. I took everything out of the bag and didn't see any other clues there.

Once at the shrine I saw three benches there. There were no benches "outside" the shrine that I saw, just the three at the shrine site. I scoured the place - no piece of paper or other clues. I will continue to look around while I wait for a response. Thanks!

I posted this shortly before the forum went down for updating; sorry for the double post. Regarding what I said (in my quote here) I'm at the shrine but no paper. Can someone tell me why?

Quest should have updated when you collected the hood, not sure why it didn't update, maybe a fluke or a mod conflict. Do you have a save to test from before you found the camp?

I might but it's going to be a pain to figure out which one. Could I unload it and start all over again? At least I'll have the shrine marked and can fast transport there agian. (with earlier saves I'll have to make the run all over again). I can try tomorrow so let me know if I must try an older save. I didn't have many mods loaded when I did this (a couple scattered simple house mods, Natural environs, some cosmetic mods, er...nothing spectacular yet.)

You can but you need to deactivate the mod, go in game, SAVE with it deactivated, then reactivate the mod to start again. Otherwise the save will be dirty and can cause it to misfire. Not an exact science this modding game, it's a very basic script on the hood so there shouldn't be a reason for it to misfire unless it's a fluke. :1277:

You talked to her to get the quest, she's around Weynon Priory, probably in the main house. :foodndrink:
