No. This falls under the category of 'things that would increase immersion slightly, but make the game about as fun as a root canol'.
Really? Because I think it would make it a lot more fun to be a thief. If I steal some shoes and I don't have to hide it, I wouldn't feel quite as accomplished as if I had to hide the evidence before I could enjoy the loot. It would add some challenge to being a thief.
Which by the way, it would also be pretty cool if it was required that you cover your tracks when you break into someone's house, but that's asking too much of the developers probably.
And about the "coding difficulty" thing, it's irrelevant to bring up that it would "add more time for the game's release", because frankly this is a general suggestion for the future, and doesn't have to be added to Skyrim. Besides, for all we know they already added it?
And saying "It's more coding than you think" assumes that I am unaware of how much coding it would take. Dude, I'm a programmer myself, and I understand how much coding it would take. It's AI behavior. But by your very argument, I could point out that adding ANY enhancements to AI are pointless to suggest. Suppose I were to suggest that enemies react to you when you attack someone in front of them?
"I'm all for it, but that's quite a bit more coding than you might think. Sure, you can shrink it down to a few bullet points, but in reality that would be quite a bit of work. Not insurmountable, and it wouldn't take years, but in a game as big as Skyrim will be, the coding, implementation of AI, voice recording, and bug testing could easily take months!"
Don't bring it up. It's pointless. Besides, the KIND of coding involved is not that difficult for someone with a good grasp of programming, which obviously the programmers at gamesas have.
