Whaddaya do if Jarl Elisif disappears?

I'm watching this LP:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jou4YDYC10M

This guy was trying to do the quest "The Man Who Cried Wolf," but he ran into the glitch where Varnius Junius got stuck in his starting position.

I looked that up on UESP, and recommended to him that he run into Varnius at top speed in order to knock him out of his glitched state.

However, there appears to be a second glitch that he's experiencing simultaneously with this one: Jarl Elisif doesn't appear on her throne, or anywhere for that matter (he read the Court Mage's book about trolls in a previous episode, thought that this was the Jarl's bedroom, and mistakenly believes that Elisif is out fighting trolls).

I posted the following comment to try to help him out:

Hopefully, this will at least tell him where Jarl Elisif is, so we can hopefully devise a better solution from there, but as I said, I don't know if it will work or not, since I've never heard of this glitch before.

Does anybody on here know what the hell is going on, and how this guy can fix it?

What do you do when elisif disappears?

Answer: Laugh like a Crazy leprechaun and place gold bars on her throne.

There are several quests which take Jarl Elisif out of the Blue Palace. He should check to see that they are not acitve. If that isn't the problem, see below:

If on PC, he can try the following console codes:

prid 198c1

moveto player

Otherwise, he'll need to revert to a prior save.

1. There's only a handful of quests that even involve her in any way. The only two I can think of that would take her out of the Palace are "Diplomatic Immunity" and "Season Unending," both of which have been completed.

Heck, you may want to consider watching his LP yourself. It's one of the best Skyrim LP's out there.

2. No, he's on Xbox 360. His PC isn't powerful enough to run Skyrim and a capture card at the same time. The LP stated out on PC, but after he started downloading updates, it stated to lag like crazy and he switched to 360.

Maybe the guy recording the video should just go visiting the local Jarl during normal business hours, not at 7.45pm? She was probably asleep, she usually seems to leave pretty early, he should have just come back the next morning. The NPC the person in the video was annoying the life out of is not going to do anything without the Jarl being there. You go doing that to an NPC, you have to expect strange behaviour. I never bothered watching the entire thing, so apologies if he was actually suffering a real problem. I have no interest in watching someone else play the game, especially not someone who plays like that.

Really? Elisif just disappears off the face of Nirn? Well...that's new. I've never had that problem through all ten of my play throughs.

Sing "Joy to the world, Talos has come! Let the Nords recieve their new queen!"

In all seriousness it looks like he is on Xbox so console commands aren't going to be of much use. I haven't watch this guys LPs so I'm not sure if he is doing the bards college "Tending the flames" concurrently with this one cause I believe that might be the problem. Some other solutions say that finishing the main quest or civil war might solve the issue. That being said It's very nice of you to help him. :)
