What about a cabin in the wilderness for hunters

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 3:23 am

I am a woodelf hunter and would prefer having a house in the wilderness with at least the tanning item and the forge would be nice but having to go to town for the smithing would be ok. What you guys think?

You might be better off posting this one in the Modders forum.

Take Faendal's house in Riverwood, if you don't want him around he can get killed easy on quests. I have a Whiterun glitch where I don't get the dialogue to buy the house (yes I've done all the requirments, this is my second game) and have been staying at Faendal's house and storing stuff there till I get to another town where I can buy property. There is a hunters cabin up in the moutains with some old guy and a kid but don't know if you can get rid of them and take the key.

There is the alchemist's shack south of the throat, could be used. Containers would respawn though.

Just do what I do, Take a house & make it ur own. or take over some other buildings that scum lives in. I'm not 100% sure but I think most buildings that have their own cell (loading door, not open building) have chests that do not respawn, you would have to test this with crappy objects you don't care about, leave them in a chest in a building you might wanna take over. See if they are there in a few days/weeks.

I thought closed cells were 30 day respawns. I might try it and just RP in that I fell into a coma or something.

Edit: The UESP says that the end table in the alchemist's cabin doesn't respawn so you could use it to store stuff in as a player home.
