What to do about SE III users making up 90% of lobbies?

if u have **** TV and bad eye sight, then people will struggle with busting cloakers, but yeah cloak is what Crysis 2 is about ...

why not buff the Armor mode more , I like run around in cloak then switch to armor and take enemies down ... I like to play fair and do not use energy transfer, Nano recharge way better :)

So even more good news? do you know what number is required now? team work will be neeeded now cause of more maximum armor bonuses? All this patch is bringing is good news so far!

What I meant was the Nanosuit 2.0 kill streak is still 6 or 7 kills to get but it is less effective when turned on. Meaning you cannot take as much damage and taking on several enemies at once is more difficult.

Yeah, buffing armor would be good, as would giving players the ability to have two armor modules, so one could have proximity alarm to counter cloakers and a module of one's choice.

Cloak is as much a fail as armour, as in both do jack **** and are completely random.

Sometimes stealth is hard to spot, other times you can see them 6 miles away across the map.

Same for armour sometimes you can withstand an army firing on you, other times a single pistol shot to the foot and you're dead.

This is like saying what is the difference between chips and fries? Nothing they're both fried potatoes an taste the same.

I can spot cloaked players easily usually (due to the obvious "GLOW" and lack of team identification), just like HALO Reach (minus OBVIOUS glow but with similar predator effect), making them die though is another story, unlike HALO Reach.

Bring back DEMO 2.0 please.

but it wasn't that good to begin with... they just have to shoot 3 times or less bullets so it kills ur health...

Crytek,

Could you confirm if information on this thread has been passed onto developers or will be? 66% of votes suggest they want some type of change.

I'm not asking that they do something about but if they would just look at it?

Thanks

That's 17 players out of how many online?

You seriously think they are going to change the game for a few people that don't like something so trivial?

A handful of people on this forum thought Crytek had abandoned us...they were wrong too.

I dont want SEIII changed mainly because I have a feeling that if its nerfed, Blind Spot will come into play more and I know what happens then (COD Black Ops aka every TIA/IA game down to time/nobody plays objectives at all)

Buff armor(Make your run/walk speed unchanged in armor, Armor Enhance II can be further protection from explosives or something, buff tracker (make it work on cloaked players), make their footsteps normalized volume, and buff nanovision (cloak visibility), done.

Pretty much what everyone else is saying, Tracker needs to work on Cloak (every other tracky thing does, Prox, Radar), Cloaked people should have normal footsteps (if they don't), Nano Vision should not care about Cloak, seriously, it's thermal, that's the point of it, and E Transfer should NOT give you energy if you have 0%, this would seriously help with Cloak shooting, and would encourage better (read: some) energy managment, but don't nerf SEIII, that's not the direct problem. If Cloak svcks any more it will just be a replacement for Armour, turn the corner in Stealth to confuse the guy, kill him, and keep going.

Armour doesn't need a buff per say. Read carefully: It needs to be Campaign Armour. If your Armour's on you ONLY drain energy, and you DON'T take health damage until all your energy's gone. Look at the video for Armour Enhance, that shows what I'm talking about. Even with Armour Enhance I've had Armour on, been shot to the point of saying Health Critical with a greyish screen and blood, and I still have something like 60% energy... WHAT?!? That's soooooo stupid, it might even be worse that everyone having Transfer/SEIII. Oh, and you shouldn't be able to go into Armour straight from Stealth, if you try it should fry your energy. If you are invisible and suddlenly you need Armour, not just normal Power, but Armour, then you're doing it wrong and should be dead.

Some very valid points there dude,

I think the Energy Transfer one was great, ET will not give you Energy if you are at 0% (I.E. shooting while in cloak).

Also the 2nd point, about going from cloak to armour too, frying your energy, I agree too.

2 changes that could be considered by Crytek.

naw nanovision shouldn't work well cause the nanoshell forms those crytsal suface so... you can't see somebody on the otherside of the window with a thermal cam... plus in the ifrst game the nanosuit can reduce heat output so it could be invisible to the aliens! still either make them more visible or improve range... and other stuff like others said

the mp nanosuit looks like 1.5 so its not as good as the nanosuit 2 and was probably a mass produced version so its cheaper?

you have to diasble cloak with the cloak button and enable armor with th armor button so it takes more time so ya can't just press one button?

The suits ARE 1.5s actually, use your visor to tag them in the room where you meet Hargreave, it tells you.

No ya don't... I one-click from stealth-armor all the time. There's the usual delay in switching, but its totally possible to one-click it.

Yep, one clicking works but it has a bit of a delay coming out of cloak mode so be wary. The delay means you can actually hit the armour button and shoot only to find yourself out of energy because you fired while still in the cloak transition.

Actually, they oddly transition at the same time. It's 2 seconds into Armour normally and .33 (I think) out of Stealth normally, but they go at once if you go straight from Stealth to Armour, meaning the whole thing just takes 2 seconds.

no i meant as a solution
the nanosuits are 1.5 cause when somebody gets the nanosuit bonus you hear nanosuit 2.0 detected! but it doesn't have the 100% damage absorb rate that 2.0 actually has...

Well, you're looking at it from a storyline point of view, as would be on a wiki, but we're discussing gameplay mechanics, they could have called it, not a 1.5, but a Nanosuit 100, or .5, or Blarg, it's irrelevant here, and it's called a 1.5 because that's what they're called in Hargreave's room. Your point about it not having 100% defection is meaningless because the only way we know that is because you don't have 100% defection of damage. They could make it 100% and then we would say that 1.5 DOES have 100% deflection, so that's not a reason. It's like saying "It's how it is because it's how it is".

yes so? there are only 4 nanosuits in existance... if you can read you would have seen that Maximum Nanosuit is actually Nanosuit 2.0 which has 100% absorption like Nanosuit 1.0... they took away full absobtion cause of moaners... wtf is defection?

the nanosuit from the sp is the real one cause people don't go around killing for fun like in mp for no reason, also there is no nanosuit below 1 and none above 2 so far as that would require 98 more premutatiuons of it...

No, in Crysis 1 there were a few teams, at least three, all wearing Nanosuits, Prophet's may or may not be the only Nanosuit 2, since we don't know how he got it, we don't know if there are others. The MP suits ARE in SP, they're prototypes for CELL and the USMC, they're on display in Hargreave's room, along with a big bulky Nanosuit 1 prototype. Storyline and gameplay mechanics are seperate, don't confuse the two.
