What age are your characters?

I like that concept. I've used it myself at times through Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion. A restless eternal spirit called into existence at the beckoning of the emperor.

For humans they are usually around the 30's.
For mer and beast folk they are usually around the equiverlant age.

I have a Dunmer Battlemage (destruction as main attack and hardened Falmer armor) who is much older.

Besides, this isn't the only wierd things going on with TESO lore. I don't want to turn this thread to a TESO bashing party, but the only reason why she's a queen is so the developers can have a neat numeric coincidence on her. (Her Birthdate is 5/5/555.)

My decrepit avatar has never revealed his exact age to me. Ironically, I highly suspect him to be in the one age bracket neglected in the poll...the low to mid sixties. As he is almost certainly past his fifties I opted for 65+, which might indeed be the case.

If I play human characters i usually make them either completely young or around my age (20-30 y.o.). Younger characters a quite easily to roleplay and I make them in order to get into roleplaying in a certain game. Older, more mature characters are more interesting, but having one of around my age simply works better.

For elven characters, which tend to be mages anyway I usually go for around 200-300, although the particular age is largely superficial, since an elven spellcaster can live up to 5000 years.

One of my longest-running roleplaying characters is an Altmer Atronach sorceror from Morrowind and she'll rather summon a daedroth to bite your head off then to tell someone her real age.

All my main characters are Altmers so I imagined them to be older like around 100 years or so. Then I decided my Oblivion character is the daughter of my Arena + Daggerfall characters, so she can't really be more than 30 years old. So yeah, she's around 25. And this now applies to all my TES characters except my Skyrim character (which hasn't been created yet). I want him to be the son of my Morrowind and Oblivion characters, so he could be very old.

PS: I know Skyrim's hero is "Dragonborn", but don't spoil me on how to somehow make that the heir of my existing characters, I'm sure I can find a way when I play it :)

My Altmer are usually in their 40s, which means that they are young for Altmer but old enough to know about the world.

My human characters are usually much younger than that since I'm 21 myself, it's easier to relate to someone of my age.

20-30. Because, like flying an airplane there is no making up for the runway behind you or the altitude above you. In life, there is no making up the years behind you.

Depends on the character...

What should I vote for, when the age ranges from 20 to 500?

My Skyrim character was the only one I really thought about it with. I started out the game playing as like a 20 something year old but as I kept playing I "got older" and now my character is still active but more of a settled down dad now.

Hrafna is 20, though she is very experienced for her age. My female characters tend to be 20 to 30. Male characters 30 to 40. But in the poll I choose 20 to 30.

I like the 30-40's range. Suppose its the Age of Knowing in my mind where you are smart enough to figure things out, and young enough to do something about it.

And since I typically play elves, this is a relatively young age.

Most of my characters are 20-30 years or their equivalent for elves. Young enough to still be adventurous, yet old enough to have some experience and having a specialization.

I play exclusively as Dunmer, so we have a very long lifespan.

One is a powerful Mage, so he could theoretically live as long as Divayth Fyr. My other character is an Assassin, but both are also Vampires.

I choose their age to be "unknown" as I have been RP'ing them since Daggerfall. I know I could easily do the math, but I like the whole "ancient and mysterious" aspect to them.
