I've listened to people say that he's 45m long. Generally, I think it's a lie, at least in my perspective. What's his size, truly?

Letsee...
Assuming a Dragon head is about 1 meter in length (from snout to the back of the skull, NOT the horns), Alduin has a wingspan of about 15 meters, and a length of maybe about 15m (the reference pic I was using had part of the tail chopped off, but I doubt he's longer than his wings are wide). Also assuming that Alduin is not larger than other dragons.
Assuming that the Dragon head is 2m long (snout to back of skull), he's got a length and wingspan of about 30m.
I assume that a 1m head is true due to the "bite-and-thrash" death animation, but that's a ballpark. 1m and 2m are likely the lower and upper limits for the head, with actual size being between those two.
This means he's 15m ''wide'' and 15m ''tall'', right?
assuming the player is 180cm,
i'd give him about 12-15m wing span, 6-8 meters height and the same in length, head to butt, not counting the tail.
wingspan:
he spans about a medium sized farmhouse. you could fit ~4-5 beds in a row in one of these, so say 10meters + posts etc
---> 12m
height:
when faced in combat, his body (without neck) is max ~1.5 your height, so say 3m. neck's never really upright, so say another 2-3 m
---> ~6m
length: body (without anything) seems to be a bit longer than high, so say 4-5m. plus ~3m neck,
---> ~8m
all in all, i guess a cow with wings and a long tail and neck should roughly fit
edit: might be a bit faulty since i play a wood elf, they're smaller
edit2: ...and i'd give the neck and tail about 5m each (rather than the 3 i guessed above for the neck)
