what announcement about TES V would you like to see?

Well I'd like to see an announcement detailing the addition of new races. Dwemer, Chimer, Falmer, Alyeid, Sload, Hist...etc.

I'm torn about whether I'd want that. If they add new races, I think it should only be either Dwemer (via something to do with DLC most likely, including a massive quest line regarding the disappearance of their race), or the Falmer (assuming the game takes place in Skyrim, and only after meeting certain requirements, e.g. learn all the lore of their race by completing the main quest or a DLC, and once you beat the game once you unlock the Falmer as a playable race for future playthroughs). A bit cheesy perhaps but at least you have to earn the right to play as the new race.

I can't imagine any other race being playable or even seen at all in modern form, but I hope that they at least add to the lore of each unplayable race (not to mention the playable ones). Of course, I only want this if they do it properly; i.e. no contradictions, lots of backstory and history and research.

I want them to announce that the plot of TES V will be that a necromancer experiment went very wrong and now tamriel faces a zombie apocalypse...

It will be four player co-op and you can choose between a redguard male who use to work at the Office of Imperial Commerce,
A nord who mastered the art of riding giant hogs, a young female breton who spent her years at the arcane university reading books such as the corpse preparation series, And finally a elderly imperial veteran of the legion.

Yep. :)

Really? This is what you want to hear? Really?!?!?!

Todd Howard:
"I know we haven't said anything for over 4 years about TES, but I think our fans have waited long enough. Today at our morning round table discussion, Bill the intern mentioned Corkbulb root and Pete Hines looked at him and said, 'hey dude, you bring me a cinnabon and I'll make sure we get that in the next Elder Scrolls game, if we ever make one'. I laughed and said, 'yeah, Bill, and we'll get those ugly-as-sin yellow/muave exquisite robes a return visit as well, hahahaha, now bring me some Wheat Thins, and some bacon-cheddar cheese in a can'. Then we looked at each other and continued working on Fallout 4."

Yeah, great.

Skyrim will be set in the dystopic future of 200, where Capitalist elves and Marxist men have pooled their industrial might and forged the "Ehlnofey," a colossal [censored] with no apparent function.

At the moment I'd be perfectly happy with a simple anouncment of TES V and it's full title.

Naw, a game like that would never be popular. :)

I got a pretty big wishlist actually. Seeing that I owned Morrowind for years and did nothing much with it except fool around, I'm not going to wish for anything from it.

For one thing, I want the modability of the game to be even more extensive than it is now. Let's face it, playing the game vanilla is pretty much useless considering the sheer amount of mods to the game.

Second thing is combat realism. I might crave a lot of violence in RPGs, but given the realistic models, the blood on the ground and the swords, what I want to see are injuries that would be show on your character. You can accumulate scars, possibly bleed to death, dismemberment, localized damage, stuff like that.

Thirdly, different body models available. There are a lot of body mods out there that look great, but they're all usually one type. Robert for example, has the thin, fat, muscular, normal, etc. But if you choose any one, you'll get that body type for all the characters in the game. I'd definitely like to see some variety around and the ability to choose. Also, since they introduced character aging in the game, I think it would be nice if the whole thing reflected it instead of just the face.

Fourthly, I don't know if this has been done already, but I remember back in 2003, they had an interesting concept with the game Freelancer. In that game, while you can technically play single player all the time, they also had multiplayer mode where you can play on the same maps, go on quests, etc, with other players being present at the same time. I think it would be a good idea to make that sort of cross between MMORPGs and single player RPGs.

Fifthly (and finally), why not have a real hunger/thirst/fatigue system in place? Some modders tried their hand at it in Morrowind, but it didn't really strike me as particularly good. While I know that most games generally don't have hunger or thirst on a scale like that, I find it weird that the character could go on the entire game without a single minute of sleep or anything to eat or drink.

Well that's my wish list.

Biggest wish is to see bethesda make the game universal for macs and PC's via steam. I would love to be able to play it on my mac instead of a crappy console port. because the mods are the best part!
