What are fun quests to do on a pure mage?

Well I've been playing on my pure Mage in Skyrim and I have been finding it quite fun. I went and spent all my money buying all the spells so now I have a variety of ways to tackle everything.

The thing is that I want something (preferably quests) to do as a mage and was wondering if there were any quests I could do?

I have completed the College of Winterhold quests. I have also completed Azura, Meridia and Clavicus Vile's quests. I am quite enjoying the Daedric quests so far. But I have found these three quests randomly with no intention so I haven't seen any others as of yet. Except for Boethiah, which I am reluctant to do as I am a good guy and I don't know how to role-play the sacrifice.

I still need to do Onmund's Request and Arniel's Endeavor but besides those I don't know of any other mage quests. I might do the Bard's College as well.

So, does anyone know of any fun quests to do as a mage? Or any mage related quests?

I'd recommend not doing any quests and RP-ing a reclusive mage instead (maybe even a necromancer) who lives in an abandoned ruin/cave/whatever and clears dungeons if he believes there is some arcane or secret knowledge to be found within. Limit your time spent in cities, and interacting with friendly NPCs and instead focus on perfecting your magical arts.

You're a pure mage? Then if you have invisibility then do thieves' guild questlines. Plenty of chances for you to try out your Illusion and Conjuration skills (decoys and stuff)

Brotherhood quest is pretty good for a mage, too. Do it like festus: run up to the mark, set him on fire, and cheese it.

Diversionary fun or RP fun. 'Cause I can tell you that Illusion+Bandit Tower/Sneak = laugh a minute. Basically, hone sneak. No mage runs into the middle of a bunch of baddies and says, "Howdy". Well, maybe on level 50+, just for kicks, but not early on. Coupled with sneak, Frenzy/Fury are a blast. When there's one man standing, lay a fire rune, and throw in a firebolt or Atronach, let 'em come to you, as you Iron Flesh and Spark with one hand while swinging a Bound Sword in the other.

Change up, mix spells, play around, work what works, scrap what doesn't.

As far as RP goes, you could go a few ways... pure mage can still join the Companions as long as he wields a conjured sword, which, hey, why not use magic to make yourself a fighter. Alter/Conj/Dest/Ench would be your mains, no sneak, but perks to one hand for sure. This mage could easily dual the Comps and the MG. Assassin mages, DB, maybe MG and/or TG, Illus/Conj/Rest/Alch, I'd argue against Dest as it's too loud. Pure, pure mage, all schools, plus Alch/Ench, MG only.

Any of these types could all complete one or both MQs. BUT, I'd really focus on MG. There's a lot to be had in Winterhold that's not necessarily readily evident, quite a few secrets, and I never have found Tolfdir's Alembic.
