Ive always liked to play as the warrior-type character so im gonna go with the longsword and dagger like in the wallpaper image. I might possibly trade the dagger for a one-handed axe. What are u guys gonna dual-wield, or are you gonna go with a two-handed weapon?

i want a smaller war axe in the left hand and a short sword in the right.... battering and jabbing and slicing...

I wont be dual wielding most likely. My main weapon will be a bow, and my melee will most likely be a 2 hander, though I might go with 2 short blades, not sure yet

Maces. Just think about how awesome that sounds.

Or maybe shields - it's actually been confirmed :P

Ill be boring and say sword+shield ... i think people are getting fancy ideas that youll be able to dual wield attack and just forget about defending yourself
Although i will probably hotkey a shortsword for easier enemies

Nothing boring about sword and shield. In fact, its very practical. There is a reason why historically, it was way more done on the battlefield. (Although spears and polearms got the most kills on average.)

Main reason why I want to dual wield is because its going to be something new for the series. I just want to try it out.

i'll mainly use a bow in Skyrim
but, when close i'll either switch to two shortswords or a shortswod and dagger, but if i'm low on health or it's a tougher enemy then just the classic sword and shield will do.

Anyway, I would like to see a skill/attribute based system for determining what you can dual wield. I think the total weight of weapons you dual wield should be based on your one hand weapon skill and your strength. The highest reach of this system allowing you to wield 2 longswords, so it's beyond our reality, but not ridiculously so.

Mmmm... once the game has come out, I will have to start a topic: "How many of you do still use a shield...?"

I'm gonna use sword and shield and a two-handed axe.

Dual wielded axes sounds awesome... Or sword/axe (maybe both?) and shield.

It would be awesome if I could pull off a Longsword/Staff combo like Gandalf did in the LOTR movie...
