What are u like?

Every time someone talks about playing a class that isn't Soldier, they always talk about how they will rarely ever fight on the front.

That's quite a heavy load for those 1-3 Soldiers on each team...

>.>

Yeah, from my understanding every class still has the same weapons and can all have the same weight, meaning everyone should be in the fight most of the time.

Well that's because the front lines aren't really the other classes' strong point. Medic should stay back and stay alive to better benefit his team. Engineer should be more defensive, and operatives should play SMART and flank....... man that puns getting old. I mean of course you should always take a battle head on if you can regardless of class or weight but if your not a soldier it's not your top priority to do what a soldier does. But this is only pre-game strategizing. When the game comes out everyone will forget the strategies and go OMAGAWD BRINK!!! I know I've done that for tons of games lol.

I love how engineers seem like the least popular class right now. wait for the game to release and everyone to discover how effective a turret and the buffs are. engineers will become the most played class.

[FRONT LINES]-> Soldier --> Medic -----> Engineer ----------> Operative ------------>[AWAY FROM BATTLE]

Or at least that's how I'd play the roles, on an estimate distances guess.

I mean, as a 'Neer you aren't exactly equipped with anywhere near the abilities that would shine on the front lines like the Soldier.

that is an incorrect statement people will relise that playing just one class will not do and therefore is the reason it is a class base game. as to the fact that it is objective based is the reason no one person will stay the same class through a full game let alone a match.

thats how i see the roles since 'Neers have the damage buffs and the turrets so they should be beside the soldiers with medics behind them healing.

@Hulk i plan to play as one class through matches..... if i have to change then my team svcks

1. you are saying my statement is incorrect but your comment is as much of a guess as mine is. so you have no evidence to prove me wrong. dont flame.

2. yes this is an objective based game. and their is a fair amount (maybe even the majority) of objectives that can only be done by engineers. So that only reinforces my theory.

umm you seem to forget to relise that people leave games for all different reasons. the day you understand that is the day you will relise you may need to change class.

I like how you were a little prejudice in your poll.

For me it's:
Light
I don't have one, I'm a mixture of everything. Like a Hybrid I guess.
I prefer to play as the Resistance, but will play both if there are no spots opened on the Resistance side.

Body type: Medium. As has been mentioned, it's a balance - good speed while also having decent strength (both carrying weapons and resisting damage.)
Class: Primarily Soldier, secondarily Engineer. My weapon loadout will consist of a primary assault rifle, with a SMG (such as the Machine Pistol) as my backup (in case I can't hold two ARs in my inventory at once.)
Faction: I'll play first as Security, then Resistance once I complete the Security campaign.

I can't really vote on the last one.. Each character has a Resistance and Security counterpart. Plus I wouldn't be able to choose: I prefer the aesthetic of Security, but the political views of Resistance.

i personally despise the resistance, but I can't pinpoint if i would support the security until i see the ending.

not really because if you are level 20(max) then you can have 5-8 abilities to get. there are about 12-16 per class. so you will choose your abilities for 1 class and 1 class only if you change you wont be that good. You sir are INCORRECT

Er, actually if you're level 20 you can have 20 abilities, I'm pretty sure. So, unless you like all of your class's abilities, or need a bunch of universal ones, there is room for about two specialized classes per character, it seems.

Also, I changed my vote from medium Resistance medic to medium Resistance engineer because there weren't enough. :P
