Trust me, just experiment with yourself. Make a save file before spending your perks and then start trying all different combinations to see what fits your personal preferences.

Shadow Warrior is the only must-have perk in the game.

The most essential Perks are the ones that benefit my characters role or my play style for that character or both.

Even if I were playing a sword & board toon, I think I would still get the first couple of Destruction perks, for fire/shock/frost damage. For those times when you need to pull something out of your ass and you need it to work.
