Anywho, what im hoping to do is rectify my terrible opinion of oblivion with the many super mods that people have created. As far as I can tell, oblivions modding scene is the largest? and is still alive and well. I was hoping i could list some of my main gripes that in my mind, gave me such a negative experience with oblivion. I want to say "wow oblivion with mods is better than skyrim/morrowind". Ill obviously be doing some research over the next few days as to which are the main important mods but any suggestions/links/pushes in the right direction from you guys on here would be fantastic =)
Main things i think need to be fixed
NPC faces - (look like Mr Blobby. Morrowinds npcs faces looked better than oblivions in my opinion, everyone looks like a big jolly balloon faced person. something drastically different facially would be fantastic. Something to make them grittier or more realistic
No Levelled lists/Static Loot - Something closer to morrowind would be great. Been using piratelords loot adjustments for skyrim along with morrowloot for a bit. Having a good reason to look through containers and sneak into peoples houses, and static loot in dungeons, stuff that you can miss, or is amazing when you find, rather than getting whatever level 1- through 10 decides your allowed to find.
No levelled monsters - Same but with enemies. I want to have to run away from places/creatures, or have to be real smart to be able to lose them/beat them.
Unique dungeons/wilderness - One thing that sticks in my mind was how monotonous the dungeons/caves/wilderness was. Something to rectify this. I want this world to be interesting to explore again. Ive noticed unique landscapes and better cities. I think they might be my best bet but any alternatives + something that alters dungeons and caves so that they dont have that 'copy & paste' feel
+ Anything that makes oblivion more like morrowind and skyrim in any way. One thing i will look at is Duke Patricks combat overhaul. Something to make the guilds more difficult. I remember rising through the ranks very quickly and not having to think much about what I was doing. Anything to make being a thief/criminal type character would be really cool. I can remember being a thief was quite lacking?
Any help is welcome
