We here at Bethesda realize that Skyrim has not met the standard set by The Elder Scrolls series. In our effort to make this game work well for consoles we have disappointed our PC fan base. Morowind and Oblivion were both stunningly beautiful works of art that pushed the boundaries machines were capable of, and Skyrim has not achieved that. The low graphics and bugs that have occurred as a result of our console development process, along with the increased $59.99 PC price tag were a mistake. As a way of apology we are going to release a 64 bit version of Skyrim with higher resolution textures, as we should have done at the beginning. Because we charged PC user the $10 fee that goes to console manufactures on the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, we are also including the first expansion pack we will release for free.
