This is the most basic question and it may seem stupid but here goes.....

I played Doom a long time ago but I am not normally into this type of game however I was drawn in. I like the concept but after a couple of hours I am very frustrated that I cannot get my head around the most basic controls!

I am English but I live in Germany and my German isn't great. The (very basic) instructions in the box are in German and the instructions that come up during the game are unclear.

As such I find myseelf frustratingly trying to figure out what to do before something or someone kills me.

In my last attempt to play, I found myself running around in my underpants. I have no idea how my clothes were removed because I didn't know that until I toggled to 3rd person view and saw myself standing there in nothing but my briefs.

I think it could be a great game if I could just figure out the basics. So far I keep getting to somewhere around the building surrounded by raiders in Concord and then I get killed off.

I have no idea how to pull up "Pip Boy" (to toggle it on and off). I can't find out how to eat or use items that I have collected. And the dog seems to run off and kill people before he manages to get himself killed but that's fine. I prefer cats!

I did not realize that a keyboard was a necessary accessory!

So, as a short term solution, do you know if it is possible to connect a normal PC (USB) keyboard (eg: Dell) to my XBox One USB slot?

Sorry for that. I was explicit in my request for help to the software company. They directed me here. I felt like I was getting a bit of run around, trying not to repeat myself but failed to get the important points across!
