Hey guys I know this has been asked before but I want to know what are "the Deep Ones"? Is there any information in the lore that describes them?

Also know that I tried to use the search function. For some reason I cant get it to work.
Also know that I checked the Imperial Library, and the wiki. That search leads me to the Bible of the Deep Ones, which I've read already, but I cant make heads or tails out it.

To quote the UESP article on Hackdirt:

Fish people.

They're from the Lovecraft novel "The Shadow Over Innsmouth".
Basically they're some kind of fish-frog men who help the people of Inssmouth in return for human sacrifices.
It's similar in Hackdirtquest as the Deep Ones helped them the same way before the Imperial Legion ended it.

They looked like the result of inbreeding to me.

There is a light jab that the sloads may have been the deep ones. Their bible is based off of text from N'gasta Kvatka Kvakis... which, among other unrelated things, is related to the sloads.
