What are the significant changes that have been patched?

I'm thining of either reinstalling new vegas or fallout 3, but I was wondering if there have been any major changes tonew vegas via patches. Balancing weapons/game design related. Don't really care about fixing a quest or dialogue etc, just the main mechanics of the game.

I've read a list of some and it just gives vague info.

There weren't that many bugs when I played before related to the actual combat mechnics/general gameplay.

Is there a list or something eplxaining specifically what has changed?? Not like the "vague" ones I read before. That just say things like "hardcoe mode" -- what about hardcoe mode? it doesn't say.

New Vegas has the most mechanic significant changes. The damages, DPS and spread of a lot of guns and energy weapons were modified. Even the merchants inventory was changed, they now have a lot more ammo of different types. I remember before, 12.7mm rounds weren't plentiful which made the 12.7 SMG almost useless because of the lack of ammo. Now I find merchants have between 200-1600 rounds. Fallout 3 is probably the same as it was when you last played it. They haven't released any updates since Mothership Zeta. And those didn't really change up the mechanics, just fixed crashes.

And I hear the next NV update will have even more changes to weapons and such.
