I have just discovered that we can mail things to oursevles. So you go to a Mojave Express Mail Box and mail something to yourself. So I love this, if I am in one Town, and I am over encumbered, I can mail it to another town and I can pick it up later. This way if I want to drop of my payload or what ever, I will not be over encumbered, or put everything in there and be empty for another run or what ever and pick up later.

So now I am wondering if there are other new things in New Vegas we can do. Oviously now, food is more important so we can eat it not. But can we use other food to make things like Salsbury Steak for instance? Can scrap metal be usefull again? Please no spoilers, but a yes or no answer would be good enough.

So like the Mail Box that many people may not know about, what other things are in New Vegas that people may not know about. Please no spoilers.

Guns and ammo are not thrown at you like sneeze paper like it was in F3.

Scrap metal can be broken down for lead I think, then used in crafting ammo.

Just about everything now has SOME purpose useful in crafting, even things like wrenches and empty bottles; go through the recipe list when at a crafting table to see what ingredients are needed for each item.

Crafting things at a campfire with give you better things to eat; again go through the recipe list and check out the ingredients needed on the right.

That Mojave Express thing is great! I just scoured the map for the parts to repair a robot in Primm, and was able to mail that stuff ahead of me, so I don't have to keep lugging it around. Does anyone know if it's safe to send multiple parcels, or does it screw up the system; i.e. if I send some weapons and ammo to Primm; then turn around and later send some scrap materials and recipe items, will they all be waiting in Primm, or will I lose those initial items?

I do like that you can live off of all that junk you salvage.
