What are you going to do in Brink?

Post » Tue Feb 15, 2011 3:15 pm

My OCD will force me to play as everything and switch stuff out virtually every match. First guy will probably be a Medium Engineer. I like turrets. :turtle:

Then I'll likely try a Light Soldier. Then a Heavy Soldier. Then a Medium Medic. Then a Medium Operative. Then I don't know what after that, but I'm giving everything a try. It's still too early to say for sure what my favorite will be though, although right now it's looking like either Engineer or Soldier.

A light medic? *rubs chin* Might be a little worrying with the lack o' health with being a light body type, wouldn't it?

A light Medic would be an ideal choice for the player who wants to be able to navigate the battlefield efficiently, in order to revive/heal teammates who need it - in other words, a Medic that is constantly on the move, helping players who need it, rather than a Heavy Medic, who is more of a support player, sticking with a group or on the frontlines buffing and healing as needed and using heavy weapons to lay down support.

Wasn't that actually the first Pocket Ninja to be handed out? Seems like the new welcome gift to me. Which would mean :turtle: :turtle: :turtle: are finally hard to get again.[/qoute]
And now I have 3 more. ^_^
(Cannot believe you compared my wolf pack metaphor to that.......)

Support my team, completing A LOT of objectives (Constantly switching classes).

That about sums it up right there, however with alot more whoops, hurahs and cover-fire.

I'll be a light for sure; I love the speed and double jumping capabilities. Very reminiscent of the Scout from TF2 (my favorite class). I'll probably play all classes, but I think I'll prefer Engineer, Soldier and Operative to medic.

Light operative slips behind lines and takes out enemy support >med's ,eng's, eng's turrets etc. and most importantly slipping out missions. :toughninja:

I will be a heavy Engineer, purely for area denial. i will lay landmines down in one area, place a turret down a hallway, and my body infront of any place that's getting lots of enemies. :gun:

Main choice is a medium medic, but in all honesty I'll probably switch through the classes when necessary.

i'll be Soldier and Medic most likely. i am honestly sick of all these people thinking that when they become an operative that they will instantly be invisible to everyone or that they will be able to get behind the enemy with no problem whatsoever. They do know that you cant just run behind enemy lines just becuase you're an operative, right? You dont get any new mobility bonuses or anything! sorry it has just been annoying me

Seriously where are are these people who think that operatives are super ninja gods? Besides their detractors of course?

I've seen some over-exaggerations and high expectations of their powers.

Might have something to do with the majority of forumers wanting to be one, all of them stating that they prefer the stealthy approach. And of course they all say they will be Light guys on top of that. So I don't think it's because anyone is going around saying they will be some sort of invisible god of death ( :whistling: ), but rather because of the sheer amount of people who seem to want to be as sneaky and ninja'ey as possible.

Oh well, Operative hype used to be way worse than it is now. Ah, good times...good times...Wait, no they weren't. Everyone and their grandma wanted to be a ninja spy back then, seemed like.

Heavy Operative, because when they blow my cover I can still have an auto grenade launcher. And everyone expects heavys to be noobs, so walking in the opposite direction wouldn't be so obvious.

I am heavy engineer guy, and THIS is my sentry, she weighs one hundred fifty kilograms, and fires two hundred dollar, custom-tooled cartridges at ten thousand rounds per minute. It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire this sentry..... for twelve seconds.

Which is weird, because the Thief games have not been continued for quite a time (fingers crossed a new game is currently in development) and Splinter Cell was dumbed down to much more run&gun.

(Apparently Deus Ex will be very hard to play in a run&gun style, though.)

I'm going to play as Medium (or Light) Medic. I like supporting others and I have always played "medic"/"healers" in many games. I just like helping people, even it's just healing people who tripped overthemselves like in the Infamous game. :D

Not sure what side to choose from, since they both have their reasons and motivations. I feel bad for both sides, lol! The resistance want equal rations and the security people are just doing their jobs (and preventing the Ark from being destroyed and stuff), so I'm going to play both.

I like the fashion style of the Resistance, so I will play for them first, hehe. (I am SO shallow!) ;)

Thief 2 is one of my favorite games of all time.

The difference between Thief and sneaky, stealth games now is

1. Thief involved more skill and was much more unforgiving when you made a mistake
2. Thief takes place around Renascence era, and doesn't have any cool gear, like cloaking fields, night vision goggles or silenced ballistics weapons. Also doesn't have cool, animated death sequences and attack moves.
3. It was also a PC only game.

Thief was more about actually playing the role of a Thief, whereas games now are about being a sneaky one man army.
