Dual daggers and bow. Both will be used for openers depending on the situation.

On plan on creating a fairly agile character, so I wanted to get full use out of the Marksman skills. I've always loved archery both IRL and in Oblivion so I plan to make that my characters main focus.
Of course, there will come times where it's appropriate to use a blade/ blunt and spell combo, or dual blade /blunt.
To go with the whole agile type, I'd like to stick to the lighter armors to allow for more mobility and freedom, rather than brute strength and protection.

So, I'll use what I have to use if my Bow can't bring my target down efficiently at range, but use the other fighting styles when need be.

Bows and arrows for my first playthrough. I have played through Oblivion twice .First time i went for Blade and shield and the second (Still playing now) i'm a Battle Mage . So i thought i would go with a "Robin Hood" type character for Skyrim!

I can't Damn wait :D

Just about to complete the main quest for Oblivion today, then it's time to start the Shivering Isles :)

Duel wielded Sweetrolls.

Seriously, I'm too tempted to make a Gandalf character and a rouge duel daggers characters... so many options.

I'll dual wield shields.

I'm curious as to how this approach would work in combat. How effective do you foresee this being while fighting different enemy types? What would your attacks be?

I'm going to miss being able to cast with a sword and shield. I always played a Paladin type character who used a sword and shield with restoration and support spells.

Please search, I have already made a much more in depth poll along with explanations of what we know/speculate. You can find it here

Shortsword/Dagger (both dualed and single), archery, magick. At least first run. At least according to plan.

At least until I find out whether or not 'Confused Turtle' is in.

I'm going to strangle my foes with a severed khajiit tail. Might aswell get some use from those damn glitchy things.
In all seriousness though. I'm thinking about wielding dual swords perhaps on my first character, but it's all subject to change of course. ;)

All of the above. Because I can.

Duel Axes HELL YES!

That was for maces and axes in general. One handed axes were basically the shortswords of the blunt category in Oblivion, though I never tested the speed of the two-handed variant. It makes sense, I think, since maces are meant to give huge crushing blows while axes were meant to crush while cutting. The axe basically sacrifices the pure power of the mace for the ability to cut. Might sound like gibberish, but that's how I see it, anyway.

Axes and maces all the way, man! :mohawk:
