What are you gonna do after the tutorial in Skyrim

My first goal will be to find a safe storage place ... every adventurer needs a tardis like cupboard to store hundreds of items in.

When i played OB for the first time i was astounded at how free the world and player was.. The first time i played it i didnt know there was a journal where there is a map and quests.. it was my first TES game.. so the minute i got out of the dungeon i was astounded by the beauty of the world and confused about where i should go so i headed towards what i thought was a bit white tower..(imperial city) and joined the arena. from there i figured out the quest book and headed to weynon proiry and then to chorrol to join the guilds.. How are you guys going to start off in Skyrim once you are out of the tutorial dungeon. are you gonna look for guilds. or quests or explore the world ect..

I couldn't find this topic in the search but that thing is garbage so if this is already up im sorry

To Bethesda.. these are literally the best games i have played and i have never seen an RPG with as much freedom as you guys have put it. its truly incredible

Yay, i found a Elder scrolls fan wich first elder scrolls game was oblivion! I Tought i was the only one  Most people ive seen started on morrowind.. Hmm well nvm ill get back on topic..

The first thing I will do is save at the end where I can edit my character so I do not have to go through that tedious tutorial again. Not sure what I am going to do when I leave the tutorial, right now I'd say explore towns/wilderness but that is more likely to change on November 11.

EXPLORATION first.

I'm going to look for anything that isn't good and kill it for loot and moneys. I need to get some good weapons and armor.

^ and this, of course.

Usually I like to do some wilderness trolling and then find a small settlement to lay down and get started

Haha, I was equally confused, and headed over to Vilverin (right across the water from the sewer exit) in the hope of meeting nice people to show me the way round... and got myself killed by bandits.

Look for a house.Of course I won't be able to but one,so I'll find a nicely furnished house suited for an early gallery, erase its owner and make it mine.As I did with the previous games.I hate to sleep in the wilderness or not have a place for stacking my petty soulgems.

Get my Bow and shoot some deer, sadly the deer will most likely run off with all my arrows.

As far back as she can remember, she heard them whisper in her dreams, but, she knew not the meaning of the dragon's tongue. These dreams haunted her, and it seemed that her need to learn of what the dragons spoke had been burned into her very soul.

To start the game after prison exit, I will try to do what I believe that particular character would do. In this case, my Nordic shamaness, Sibyl. Alchemy and magic will be her forte. There would be different responses, of course, depending on where the game actually starts, whether If in a town, or in a remote area, a bit away from a town.

About the name "Sibyl." - From Greek Σιβυλλα (Sibylla), meaning "prophetess, sibyl". My understanding is that in Norse mythology, Poetic Edda, the Voluspa, is the “Sibyl’s Prophecy.”

-------------

Survival is primal, and caution will be the key.

Shaken, as a result of her ordeals as a prisoner, Sibyl will move stealthly, like a hunted animal, doing those things necessary to live. Regardless of her starting point, after having been a prisoner for a while, Sibyl will want to rid herself of the filth and stink of where she had been held captive.

A water source, a lake, or stream, or if in a town, perhaps, a well would provide a water source, with which to wash, or bathe, as appropriate. A warm bath would be a dream.

Hopefully, early exploration, whether in a starter dungeon, or not, will have provided her with the fundamental tools required for immediate survival.

Her rationale will be to try to determine if the nearest town, or the town she starts in, is safe for her. After determining that a town is reasonably safe, Sibyl will try to get a perspective on the local surroundings. Soon, better clothing and equipment, as well as coin, will be needed. She will eavesdrop on conversations in the streets, shops, inns and taverns, collecting bits of information, while gathering clues to help her determine her next move.

The main quest will not be entered immediately. Sibyl will need time to establish herself, to understand the political factions of the region, and perhaps, to establish alliances.

But sometimes, there are those nights when dragon whispers invade her dreams. Sometimes she awakes...shouting.

The second option in the OP's poll is probably the best choice for this character. My thanks to the OP for the thread. :foodndrink:

same exact thing here..i thought the bandits would be friendly hahah.. i died pretty early..did you guys notice that fighting npc's like bandits were weaker than non fighting ones...i could kill bandits in the beginning..it was still pretty hard but ya when i tried to murder an old lady she killed me every time..anyways i guess so far the consensus is go to the nearest town or explore..to be honest im dropping a crappy weapon in the first town i see to see what happens i also wanna get on top of the biggest mountain to see the world..they said in the feb gameinformer issue that you can see almost the whole world because they improved there drawing distance

I went over there too; but I was able to beat them -- barely. They were really tough and I loved the challenge and the remorselessness of the game's difficulty. I always like playing at maximum difficulty.

After that I just wandered the land. Went into the Imperial City and started the quests in there. I held off doing the main quest for, oh... about a YEAR. Of my life. Then I finally went into an Oblivion gate and was all :woot:

Make my way to the closest city and settle there for a while. I'll clear some dungeons to get money so I can buy the spells that I need and some decent armor and weapons. I'll also take the time to enjoy living in this city, talk to the villagers, get some side quests, drop an item to see what happens, murder someone... oh and get in a bar fight!

I will start with the main quest for a little while, just enough to let it lead me to the various cities. Then, I'll probably just screw around and do as I please for a few years IRL. Then, I'll finally decide to sit down and play the main quest from start to finish with a new character.

Or I'll just kill sum [censored]es.

First thing I'm gonna do is start thief-ing it up! No one will be able to catch me cause I'm just so fast! The people will call me The Roadrunner Bandit and they will write stories about me. "The day The Roadrunner Bandit stole my hat." They won't be very good stories on account of Skyrim being a country full of Nords after all.

when i put it on maximum difficulty in the beginning i died from a rat in two hits and it took me i think 44 to kill it its impossible in the beginning..

i couldnt figure out how to do a multiquote but to RHANYAN

glad you liked the topic..sounds like the wait for the game is gonna be killing you haha you got everything already figured out in your head..nice touch on the mythology by the way you did your research

Probably go to a nearby city/village and take on some small quests, join a faction if I find one that fits my character and do their intro quests. As I depart on those it's wilderness exploration time. :)
