My is gonna be heavily influenced by Metro 2033 and STALKER.

No democracy, patriarchy and strict rules. Heavily militarized.

I got the feeling that what was shown in the E3 demo was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what a person can actually build. I'll probably build a tower for my first settlement. All are welcome, so long as they pull their own weight.... those who don't, are kicked out back into the wastes and will never be allowed back in.

I will basically want to see how big I can build. I want to see how many stories I can build up in a single building.

But before that, I will build something reasonable until I get a handle on everything.

I'll probably just make a house but not a settlement at least not until I beat the game or during my second play through.

Think "Orc Stronghold" from Skyrim, but with Fallout materials and laser turrets.

Probably just make a base in the creepiest, darkest, and most dangerous spot in the wasteland just to be a badass and so people won't come around and loot my stuff...

Fortified Town. Tallest walls possible surrounding the exterior limits with one checkpoint as a entrance, and smaller walls surrounding every building inside of it.

This is The Wasteland, and I was always upset by the lack of security in New Vegas. If I was in charge of Goodspring it would atleast have a guard tower with some machinegun emplacement to keep those radscorps from the north from wandering in.

Depends. At think at first I'll build a simple one-storied/room house. Later I'll try to build a giant settlement elsewhere, but something tells me I'll fail miserably on the latter. :P I always svcked at babysitting things.

Mad scientist's tower. Let's see how tall I can build. And how many turrets and generators I can set up. Maybe some sentry bots and solar panels?

since my first character will be a female scientist with 10 int and 10 charisma i will try to make mine the most futuristic/safe/well off settlement possible with all possible needs fulfilled and with as many high tech weaponry/tools that can be thrown in there.

I'd say, as you level up certain perks, you'll be capable of building better looking structures with solid walls.

Also, those homes have been up for over 200 years, who knows how stable or "solid" the homes are. I'd imagine they'd be more like death traps... never knowing when it'll cave in on you.

I'm personally hoping there's a sky-bridge option so I can have all of my buildings connected. Sort of like the tree villages from Hook or the Kevin Costner Robin Hood.

Dude! Did you see the swampy tree house looking settlement they showed at E3? That sounds right up your alley!

Fairly certain we'll be able to do just that. I might end up making my settlement as just that.

I want to make something crazy, detailed, huge, and difficult. I want to really push the limits and I hope not everything we build will have to look like a dilapidated shack.

I LOVE building houses, maps, people (in CC) and so on so I'm really looking forward to this aspect and I hope it's really meaty.
