What armor do you want to see in future DLC's?

Post » Tue Dec 29, 2009 9:37 pm

I know they talk about the great divide (place or event im not sure) but im hoping hazmat suits will be available in the next DLC because they talk about 2 couriers meeting up and fighting it out at the end of Dead Money. Some people think he's the burned man that Ceaser through into the grand canyon while on fire for losing the first battle for hoover dam. I personally hope he's not and they make another DLC specifically for him. I mean it would be so cool to have more then 2 or 3 DLC's like the last fallout. More DLC's mean more different types of armor so thats what im hoping for.

I think the great divide may be the grand canyon and the big empty is prob goign to be like an abandoned area 51 type installation with multiple underground levels and high security or at least thats what my little mind put together after playing dead money. I think power armor is over rated i have them and dont even use them. It like to see things like ghillie suits which would be handmade at the workbench using different pieces of clothing and armor so you could customize it to your liking.

I was just playing new vegas and happened to enter a location called Canyon Wreckage, theres abunch of smashed trucks, cars and what looks to be some sort of silo, anyways there acouple signs that caught my attention one says" The Divide" and the other says "You can go home Courier" as well as "Courier 6" so i have a feeling one of the DLC's will be at that area because u cant get past the wreckage.....yet. I think a gillie suit would be cool, i use one in real life when i go hunting turkey and they work very well. But there's really only a need for one such suit because most of the Mojava Wasteland looks grey/brown. I think it would be cool to have a power armor/ gillie suit something like the NCR ranger combat armor with the coat looking like leaves grass.

A nice dress and matching hat with a DR high enough that Veronica will wear it. Ideally the hat will match Vera's dress so Cass will equip it over that ratty hat of hers.

Better business suits......Navy blue, dark grey, black and dark pinstriped suits.

Suits from the late cowboy era that lawmen/gunfighters often wore in the towns.

A Bowler hat

The "Man with No Name's" outfit with seraqe.

Pre-War Police/Highway Patrolmen uniforms

Pre-War military uniforms, especially a flight suit with matching helmet

A Buffalo-Bill style buckskin outfit (perhaps Bison Steve's?)

lol you know i thought the same thing when i read it and acouple of the other posts as well, why for other then role playing purposes, would you want clothes.....this isnt fable and the objective is to complete missions of varying difficulties. armor would be more effective. But to each there own, some people like the rpg aspect of the game more then the first person/3rd person shooter/hackand slash that it is. I think what makes this game great and one of my favorites is that it has alittle of everything and is well balanced.

As much as people say they don't want power armor, I'd like to see some Poseidon facilites and the ATHENA power armor that was to be in Van Buren.
I'd like to see the HERMES combat armor too. When that forumer found the "H3RM35" on the NCR Ranger helmet we all thought it was HERMES armor, and we were excited. I want that excitement again!

I want to see more tribals, and tribal armors. And not just the crappy "garb" from point lookout, but stuff like the Pitt's Tribal PA and the Legion Centurion armor, armors cobbled together from multiple armors/clothing and random stuff found in the wastes.

The divide would be a good place to have such tribals. The whole "tribals in a canyon" thing would be very reminiscent of Arroyo.

I think the problem is that the suits are glued to the NPC model, like Hillfolk or Super Mutants.
Their clothing is not really "clothing" but part of their main model, and the clothing/armor they wear is designed to follow this models animations and stuff which might get texture glitches or models colliding with each other.

But yeah if they spend some extra time to make a human/ghoul version of it then it'd be nice to find and use them.
But didn't the suits actually become part of person they are put onto?
I thought that when the bombs dropped the people who wore the suits were trapped inside of them because of a strange mutation that went along with the death mist.
Like it was their extra skin.

I'm cool with what we have now (I'm never taking off the Assassin's Suit), but I like the idea of some more specialized clothing like the 1st Recon Beret, or some different variations on Leather or Combat Armor.
I never use Power Armor so I could care less about that, though it would be interesting to see PA with built-in weapons (Yea, like Iron Man).
What I'd really like to see is a new perk that reduces Armor Encumbrance.

I want the BoS to start learning how to make power armor

I mean they have hundreds of suits apparently, they should take it apart, find out what makes it tick, and re-create it

We should get missions or something that allows us to take the process from a base or something if they can't figure it out

They could even just add things to t-45d's and make them better or sumfin

Well in NV the devs have allowed weapons modifications, maybe in the next fallout game they'll include armor mods, which would be pretty cool. But as to them coming out with that in a DLC i dont see it happeneing.
I think youve got a good idea about how to go about the BOS creating new verisions of Power Armor, i mean there always looking for new technology so why not create there own....The Enclave didnt have any problem doing it, so i dont see why the BOS should either.

I'd like to see the original Tesla Armor return. (NOT THE ENCLAVE VERSION. I am talking 'bout the originals.)

Plus, an added bonus to it, sense the main point of the armor was to absorb or disable laser/plasma type weapon shots, in New Vegas, the bonus would be a 10% chance to have the laser deflected back at the enemy, and be an insta critical hit.

Or something to that effect.

I think it would be awesome if you could make armor out of any animal, like a death claw hide armor (if they bring back the death claw gauntlet lol) A gecko skin armor, Lakelurk armor, etc.

I'd also like to see some sort of ghoul armor, could be scavenged metal armor or even scavnged power armor. And I see that working since alot of ghouls have been around for awhile and are pretty crafty.

Reinforced Leather Armor, MK II. More padding, more badass-ness. This armor from a VB concept: http://www.duckandcover.cx/gallery/albums/userpics/11554/mURI_temp_0a0712ee.jpg

New clothing variants that can be added to loot lists in the base game.
