What armor do you wear?

Post » Sun May 31, 2009 6:38 pm

Sorry I'm not flaming.. I'm just interested in your view of what they should have done with it, is it the bare arms, the bulked out chest.
I like the the sleeker full body suit, it looks heavy but designed to protect more from higher tech weapons, while allowing movement...
That and the butt looks fantastic in 3rd person view.

It has more to do with what metal armor is. Metal armor was supposed to be crudely fashioned metal plates. Fallout 3's looks too commercial.

I mostly wear power armor. Specifically the Remant power armor. Its just something so nice about being a walking tank walking down the streets in free side to hear pings of small caliber rounds bounce off your armor as you pull out your pearl hand gripped revolver and splatter the thugs brains against the wall with a single .38 special projectile.

But most of the game you cant play with power armor atleast I dont so most of the game is played with the NCR armor with a sergeant hat.

In the first playthrough I finished with Gannon's Tesla Armor + Helmet (+20 energy, Medium weight, and 26DT)

In the second I used Space Suit + T51b Helmet (48+ Rad resist, Light weight, 18DT)

On this playthrough, I imagine i'll end up with Veteran Armor.

Modded clothes, merc or raider clothes/armor, they're listed as light but they're not really armor. My PC's never wear conventional armor aside from the merc or raider stuff. Didn't wear armor in FO3, Dragon Age and don't wear it in FNV. ;) Boone is the only one I dress in armor and he gets the reinforced leather (the new one from New Vegas) or Merc Adventurer until I can kill a viper wearing the other one.

btw, I LOVE how metal armor looks on a guy. :disguise:

You have to track down the BoS base and do missions for them then once their sastified they will make you a member and allow you to join. Personally I do that long before Mr. House sends me there to wipe them out. Makes it easier when your using the same weapons and armor they have.

My new character is currently wearing the Bounty Hunter Duster (with a great retexture that I think came with FOOK), but it is likely that I'll move on to the regular combat armor and then the Remnants Power Armor, which is just too badass to resist.

Leather Armor, reinforced. It looks awesome, and allows me to 'travel light'.

2 of my most recent 3 characters have worn clothing mainly because it's a lot more fun that way not being a tank.

Formal Wear for one and Pre-War Relaxedwear for the other. I've had to add Damage Resistance, not Threshold, on the Pre-War Relaxedwear just so some mods don't overpower me and force me to play it a specific way I don't want to play.
