I am loving steel plate, orcish and plain old steel.
Haven't really found a full set of anything above orcish.. >_>

I always liked steel and ebony but for roleplaying reasons I'll be using ancient nord armor.

I am a thief/archer, and only wear light armors (naturally).

I really like the Thieves' Guild light armor. Nice bonuses, accentuates my character's grimacing face and war paint, and just looks plain cool. :)

Nighingale Armour

This... if I could only add what I wanted to it in terms of enchantments and increase the base armor value a tad. but it looks sweet as hell.

I really like the various types of city Guard armors and am wearing Winterhold Guard armor atm at level 24. Lydia is sprting Orc armor and the helm from the crypt close to Winterhelm.

I adore the Forsworn armour. Heavy Dragon is okay, but Ebony is definitely the best out of heavy. Light Dragon looks pretty nice, but Elven looks better.

I like my Falmer armor best. The Forsworn armor is pretty nice looking, too.

Mine is glass there is so much detail on that armor. Makes it very beautiful in my opinion.

Ebony is good to but its just to dark. Same with deadra.

Archmage robes with Thalmor gloves and boots, and one of those wooden masks.

Dwarven armor has been my favorite since Morrowind (I was stoked it was back after being absent in Oblivion).

No, you're right; I did use it in Oblivion (I had to lookup a picture from Oblivion to remember that was what my character used...been a while since I played it).

So, yes: Dwemer armor has always been my favorite since Morrowind :)

Aesthetically, I prefer the basic steel armour (with or without shoulder guards, but preferably with). It feels more nordic than any of the other available pieces.

Statswise as a heavy armour guy on my first playthrough, Daedric wins out on sheer practicality (rarity of daedric hearts be damned).

Light armour wearers are probably best served by either dragonscale, or nightingale (I've not really checked out light armour, so this is merely best guess), but I couldn't tell you what looks the "coolest" for light armour types.

Just personal opinion of course ;)
