What is Beth reaction on all the complain?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 2:09 pm

Legitimate complaints over the glitches, faulty perks and crafting system, and poor AI? Yes. Articles have been made. With a game this complex built on technology this powerful, mistakes are going to happen.

I'm not really sure what people have to complain about, other than random glitches. The game/gameplay is exactly what I was hoping for.

Still confused about my reanimated corpses turning to dust when entering a new area. I went back to an earlier save and they weren't, and then I loaded the later save and reanimated corpses from the area and they didn't turn to ash in a new area. Kind of confusing. Is this a glitch or what the [censored]? Also, the corpses constantly wanting to fight at the point of summoning is really, really lame. But like I said, I think those are just random glitches?

in some aspects it has the feeling of a "fable" game where you can't interact with stuff..

Dear mother of God, I hope Im just missing something here and you dont actually believe that.

Overall the game is fantastic, but I do hope Bethesda take some of the criticisms onboard. Especially:

  • The poor UI (particularly for PCs)

  • Overly simplified character development / levelling. - Attributes should never have been removed, nor should certain skills; and everything feels too weighted on perks, which have their own flaws. (Perks should really just be there to compliment attributes and skills, not to dictate character definition / progression completely. When I level up, I basically alternate between Health and Stamina, which doesn't say much about my character at all. And increasing skills doesn't seem to do much - instead it just feels like i'm working towards milestones in order to unlock the next perk)

  • Faction questlines are far too short... and I can't for the life of me understand why. Bethesda must know that factions are one of the most popular features of the series.

Out of what you said, i think the current patch will probably fix only your first one.
And perhaps additional content would come in the form of DLCs and such; dont think your 2nd one would be changed.
Anyway im guessing that the patch would probably fix bugs, there wont be anymore changing of content.

Yeah, i'm not really expecting much from patches.

Mods are far more likely to fix some of the issues I have with the game.

I think they listen but dont expect them to fix minor issues. Wish they did but I think they will concentrate on the game breaking bugs

I'm sure the issues they're paying the most attention to have to do with the game's stability and playability, not people complaining about how they would have written the game and skills. I think the game is awesome and I'm happy to play the game they created, not something I would have written. It's such a huge game and filled with amazing art/graphics and play and I can't even fathom how technical resources are used to make it all happen. On PC, I have the a-bomb again after playing for a long time and the key remapping issue but I can reboot, take a little break and then reload. I know others have other problems. We knew when we got the game on release day that there would be issues; there always are. I'm ok with that or I would have waited to play down the road after the game was patched. They're working on the issues; they want them fixed too.

Well hopefully more than Hunted; not one patch or comment from Beth on that game after it's flawed release.

Honestly, I would settle for the option to turn of v-sync as the first "patch". PS3

Did Bethesda Publish or Develop that game?

I'm thinking the earlier option...

You're either joking or have very limited experience with gaming

I can't believe I'm even responding to this. Do you understand the concept of "context"?

Is beth paying attention to all the fans that are complaining about missing features , bugs and streamlining?

they probably cant hear the complaints over the vast amount of well deserved praise this game has had :) . I'm guessing the patch thats 'coming soon' is there reaction to complaints.

i havent found one bug in 30 hours and the game has ran great , i'm very imrpessed. I just hope they fix the PC UI.

Those who install the game on the console's hard drive are experiencing textures not fully loading and appearing blurry.

I didn't install the game to my hard drive and that is happening to me...

I tested that bug and it doesn't matter what you do, the textures have a fit.

They're fixing it in the next patch, which is due the week after thanksgiving at this point.

More attention for rpg elements as es is loosing the grip on them and turning into a adventure hack ans slash magic shooter... I hope they can revert the situation .... Most of the fans aren' t 8 yrs old kids jumping on the sofa with the hands soacked of marmelade and a sandwitch in mouth ...

I'd be willing to bet that the "majority" don't feel the way you do. The person who complains the loudest is not always right. I think that this game is fantastic and I for one have no interest in going back to the old ways. I'm 31, :banghead: and I've been playing RPG's and CRPG's since before I *was* 8.

The console gamers have valid complaints; especially those playing on the PS3. Bethesda needs to get their butts moving on a fix for that immediately.

The PC Gamers are all pathetic whiners, and I say that as an avid PC Gamer. "WAH! No PC specific interface?" Shut up.

I'm 100% a PC gamer. I'm playing on a core I7 980 machine with a GTX 570 and 12 gigs of ram at 1080p on a 23 inch screen. The interface is A LITTLE clunky and doesn't give you full utilization of the mouse. BOO HOO! Big effin deal.

Let Bethesda deal with the game breaking stuff on the PS3 before they even think about that petty garbage.

They have unpaid interns who browse the forums and take notes. About every two weeks someone with a salary asks" So what's going on in the insane asylum?" and the intern reads his notes.

They'd have to be crazy to read these forums, because any useful criticism gets buried by brown-nosers or f-boys, and the majority of complaints really isn't constructive criticism but nonsenical rantings like "Skyrim is broken!" or "Bethesda lies!"

turning into a adventure hack ans slash magic shooter

I'm sorry, I thought that's exactly what TES was.

And if you want to make the argument that not all gamers are eight years old, you shouldn't post like an eight year old.
