So, What Is Bethesda Doing During The 11 Months?

Post » Sat Jun 19, 2010 2:38 pm

Are they going to make polish up the graphics, de-bug the game, work on DLC?

I like the idea that the game is done and they'll spend 10 months crushing bugs... of course this is a pipe dream. :P

Probably loads and loads of de-bugging and polish. DLC is a maybe.

Yeah - debug, Voice acting, general polish and *hopefully* listening to what we say!

It looks like they've pretty much done with the systems, they just need to expand the world and add quests :)

And it sounds awesome. Any idea when we'll get new info, devs?

i doubt they're going to work on DLC until the game is shipped. maybe there's some in pre-production, but i really don't think they're actually ACTIVELY DEVELOPING it.

they're probably finishing the game. all the features and major quests are probably finalized by this point, so the rest of the dev cycle will likely be spent doing balance playthoughs and clutter passes, and maybe adding smaller quests and fleshing out areas.

You mean by adding in werewolves and vamps if not already!?!?

I'd say they're giving me time to get further in school before this game svcks my life away.

Probably making lots of quests, textures for special armours/weapons, adding some areas in the game, applying balance fixes, squashing bugs, working with the voice actors etc. etc.

Just because there's enough to demo the game for journalists doesn't mean the game is completely finished.

hopefully working on a Daggerfall directors cut.

HD graphics, long view distance, better bows + stealth, more local world map and compass pointer.

and ship it as a freebee in the retail version of Skyrim.

I really, really, really hope they put a huge amount of effort into getting NPC AI and this dynamic quest generation thing right, and not just abandon the idea like they did with Oblivion. I will forgive pretty much anything else if they can get a genuine, living, dynamic world.

Eh good riddance to Mysticism. Only 3 of the spells in it were useful, and they were a better fit in Alteration and Conjuration. I want to know what the other ones were, has to be one from combat and stealth each to keep it balance. I have no clue if it said what the other ones were, but if I had to guess I would say Athletics and... idk.

Athletics and Acrobatics?
Both were pretty useless. Or maybe Athletics and Speechcraft/Mercantile.

This actually made me lol in real life.

But seriously I hope they are getting to the point where it won't be this huge crunch at the end to get things done, which won't get done, and will have to be dropped from the features list.
