What Bethesda game?

if you could only ever own and experience ONE Bethesda game what would it be and why? for me it has to be oblivion from all the wide range of roleplaying, quests and beautiful scenery.

Because of what your previous sign said? :P :P

On topic I have to say Oblivion. Boring answer maybe, but that′s the Beth game that so totally blew me away three years ago and I simply cannot let go of this romance. Even though I currently enjoy its grand predecessor Morrowind I stick with my answer

The glorious vision of what TESV could be that only exists in my head. I want to play that one.

Well, I've already spent 8 years in Morrowind, a lifetime more couldn't hurt.

It would have to be one with a CS available for it and that means either MW or OB. And out of these two I consider MW to be the better game. So MW it is for me.

I've been spoilt by the modern gaming world :sadvaultboy:

So, I'll have to say Morrowind. I just can't play Daggerfall, no matter how much I want to...

Morrowind.

The game is simply "too" good ... Despite being worse than Oblivion in terms of technology, creation of characters and details, Morrowind was better than Oblivion in the rest. Quests, the story, the difficulty... Also I could never create TESIV mods with the TESIVCS, but I am well experienced with TESIIICS (to create TESIII mods), because TESIIICS is easier and simple...

Although the game also has bad points. Instead of showing the entire Morrowind, only Vvardenfell and Mournhold are shown. The game doesn't include an option to join House Dagoth, and it makes no sense since every time Sixth House servants invite you to join them. Of course all this can be fixed with mods.

If I had to choose right now it would be Morrowind. There's enough content in there to keep you going for years. Not to mention you could go back, create a new character and take a different route. :)

I'm going to have to pick Oblivion. I love all TES games and I love Fallout 3, but Oblivion remains my favorite. A short while ago, Morrowind grew on me more, but Oblivion pulled me back. It always does. Arena is a nice game, but it is easily my least favorite of the series and Daggerfall is really good, but it still doesn't compare to Oblivion, in my opinion.

I'm kidding, of course. Assuming we can use (or at least make) modifications to our heart's content, Morrowind would be the best choice. It's still unrivalled in the amount of mind-numbing little details and easter eggs the developers tossed in, and to this day many people are still finding new things throughout the vanilla game. The various cultures and historical background never get old and help keep the world alive, both in the game and in the player's own fantasies. The generous use of divine metaphysics and Vivec's CHIMDUDE ramblings are enough to keep even the most diehard lore fanatic frying their brain cells out for years. Then with mods, there's really the assurance that you'll never get bored!

If we can't use mods however, I'd say Daggerfall. It's just the best in entertainment value and roleplaying in its design principles and foundation. :foodndrink:

Same thing that kept me playing Duke Nukem 3D. I didn′t play it only for the fun of whacking aliens with cool guns ^_^

I think it′s a shame people tend to bring down Oblivion, it is a great game, I loved it right from the start and I still do so I′m right with you there. See you in the Great Forest or Jerall Mountains

I'm honestly a bit conflicted with this. If we're allowed to use mods, then I simply can't decide between Morrowind or Oblivion. Mdos for Oblivion radically improve the experience to levels that almost rival vanilla Morrowind.

Really though, I'd just cheat and play both :P
