What Birthsign do you use?

I always use the serpent stone with my characters.. the brief paralysis has saved me from many a sabre-cat.

One of the Warrior/Mage/Thief ones. Usually the one opposite of my main focus. For example, my Altmer battlemage took Warrior stone as he already has high magic skills.

After I pick one, I won't change it.

Atronarch. Keeps those mages from killing my warrior.

Atronach. The penalty isn't noticeable in combat, and is badass against mages.

I have alteration 100 perk Atronach as well an arcane resistance 3/3, and Atronach stone as my magical defenses. I don't need any potions or enchants for that.

Warrior, so that I can more quickly and easily slice sabre cats in two.

The Lover. The min-maxer in me can't help but pick it. Every. Single. Time. I just can't say no to 15% quicker leveling in EVERYTHING! D:

I prefer Lord, but generally go with warrior until then. Lover is fine, but it disables sleeping bonuses, which is a problem; Warrior Stone+Well Rested=insane leveling rate.

Really considering the Tower lately, after three hundred hours the lock picking minigame just becomes a complete pain in the rear end.

Honestly, it depends on character. My Battlemage is Atronach, most of my other characters haven't found any other signs that suit them besides the starting set (Ritual svcks big time - any once a day power birthsign is dlldoes. Tower is totally worthless now that it doesn't even let you make physical damage-reflecting spells)

You level up quick in this game so i stay away from the main standing stones Warrior, Thief, and mage as a heavy armour battlemage type i like the Steed stone
extra carry space and no movement penalty from armour very nice indeed early game.

The Steed; call it practicality... I don't know what I'd do without that extra 100 pounds.

Huh... Store it or sell it, duh!

I go with the lovers stone, it just seems to make since and because I never slept anyway there is no con... So a nice 15% to everything.

my Spellsword starts with Mage to quickly level magical skills, and then switch to Lover to level everything else.

It depends what you want... the Atronach is the strongest defensive stone imo, 50% of all spells directed at you only fill up your mana bar...and plenty of times you will see a half-dozen or so in a row be absorbed.

The Lord is second strongest defensively, and The Steed is handy for hoarders!
The Lover is useless to me, 15% faster skills gain instead of a real benefit? Unless you feel the others are too strong ofc, plus it means no rested bonus.

On my Bosmer Warrior I got the Lord, but used to have the Lady. For my Orc Warlord, I have the Steed. My Thief has the Steed, but had the Shadow.

Same. My warrior picked the Warrior stone and I haven't changed yet.

I'm using that as well for now. Once my Heavy Armor is high enough to take the weightless perk and my stamina is high enough to make up for that 100 pounds I'll probably swap to Atronach for the extra Magicka and the absorb though.
