What body type will you have?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:37 am

I am the player who always loves to look for a good cover, change positions, provide accurate burst fire, try to take offensive formation and surprises.
But I don't like providing suppressive fire (spray and pray), and I love the weapon with good accuracy and range...
Sometimes, I will try to go behind the enemy lines if I have to.
My style is cover to cover, observe & take action and change positions when someone want to engage me directly.

So based on my behavior, I will choose the light or medium body type as the soldiers or operatives...
(I need to try the actual control before I can be sure about what I should choose...)
But I am sure that heavy class will never suit my game-play style.

P.S. I have done the epic poll of wraith.

Mark you, turrets have both a horizontal AND vertical turning limit. So putting them up at a very high place might be less effective than setting it up at a lower position.

I'm most interested in running these characters:

Light::Operative -- Fast-moving, Hacker, SMG
Medium::Soldier/Engineer -- Balance of movement and health, ideal for soldiers.
Heavy::Medic -- Heavy healing, damage sponge and support character. Focus on administering team buffs.

They are there to assist not get you easy kills. Also clever engineers will put it in places to minimize that weakness.

I'll end up playing medium, I find myself lost without my sniper. I just dont see why the light body type can't weild snipers, you know being the one who climbs fastest and highest it would only make sense

They...can? Where did you hear that they can't? The short rifles are light weapons, and thus can be used as primaries by Light guys and secondaries by Medium or Heavy guys.

I want to play light, but part of me is saying I should play medium... Medium will probably suit my play-style more as I like to be right in the middle of the action. Though heavy might be more suitable to being right on the front-lines, I hate the idea of being so slow, and having limited use of the SMART system.

Can't really make a solid decision right now as I obviously haven't played the game yet.

i'm not sure yet. i like to get into gun fights.

a bigger body can take more damage, but a lighter body lets you move around and be more difficult to hit. i will probably change according to mission tbh.

I'm pretty sure you can't change your body-type in-game... I'm not certain though, maybe someone else can clarify.

You can't. You can only change body type in-between missions, at the character customization screen.

thanks for clarifying that. i was probably thinking about class coz i've seen vids of people changing class in game at the command posts and i thought body types were tied to the classes.

Glad I could help. Yeah, classes determine what sort of stuff you can do, and the bodytypes are there to suit your preferred play style. Whether you like being quick but weak, or slow but tough, or just average all around.

I kinda' want to play as a heavy.. How awesome would it be to roll into an area and spray it down with a minigun while your buddies take everything over? Sounds pretty badass if you ask me.. Not to mention that I could stomp on all the little girly-men! Muahahahaha!

D'oh. It's not like I am just going to be one body type exclusively. That would be stupid. That's like only playing one class....

Most likely medium. Can move around the map fairly efficiently, but also isn't flimsy.

You can have a bunch of different characters. I want to make a minigun wielding Jesse Ventura character, a fast Light Operative, and a standard Soldier type.
