Agreed.
I don't know if anyone else had the same problem as I had last year I think when Firefox suddenly blocked some required Java component(s) for posting/viewing an embedded YouTube video, so after a while I switched to Pale Moon.
So that means the option for this poll needs to be changed from "Mozilla Firefox" to "Firefox or Pale Moon" in the OP.
I used Netscape over everything some years ago and only switched because it didn't support certain web elements. Been with Firefox forever.
Well, this one prefers Firefox. This one thinks Firefox's UI is far more comfortable to look at than the minimalistic one found on Chrome. Chrome doesn't run well on this one's computer, anyways. Found out it only is fast if you have the hardware to back it up.
Me and my silly old role playing aside, I really do prefer Firefox. I was introduced to it after a virus attack I had on an old computer when I was using Internet Explorer. I found out about all the customization and loved it. Used Safari for a time and it worked quite well on a Windows computer. It was probably incredibly bloated, though. I went back to Firefox. Tried out Chrome and hated the look of Chrome.
Chrome really isn't fast for all computers, either. I am not lying when I say it depends on the hardware.
I did try out a homemade browser someone on a forum I used to go to made. It never worked for me, sadly. Shame, too. It always amazed me that someone on that forum was able to make a browser at all. This was a forum full of people as young as 6, by the way.
Firefox.
I use Chrome too though, even though it has an annoying white flicker when loading pages and crashes occasionally. It's just convenient having more than one browser.
I'm not picky about this sort of thing, so I typically use FireFox. Chrome does, however, have a certain feature where if you type a word into an online dictionary and press enter, on the next page the entire word is highlighted (meaning you can instantly search a new term, without having to reclick the window). So when I'm using online dictionaries (which I do often), I'll use chrome.
I still use IE because I can bother to change it for whatever reason. I had used Google Chrome for a period of time on a previous computer but it was messing up on me and I couldn't find the problem so I had gone back to IE. I think soon enough, I should probably just switch to Firefox.
Firefox 3.0.
Unfortunately, they forced the update eventually, so now I search out addons that help me return the UI to the way it used to be.
Anyone else using the new Firefox? (ver 29)
Can't say I like the customizability or lack of it. I can't even figure out how to add new bars or have things that are unmovable and stuck on the browser skin.
