What can we suggest at this point?

I'm pretty sure Beth has finished (almost) all the game engine production as well as various gameplay mechanisms, and right now they are just implementing the levels and scripts while crushing bugs.

What can we suggest at this point that might be taken by the devs?

maybe they can still add some perks, spells and unique items if anyone thinks of something really cool.

I'm sure Ma'iq the liar will quote some of us.

Other than that, not a whole lot that we suggest would be used in the game unless they push back the release date a bit. I wouldn't mind, I'd rather have a really good game even if I have to wait longer for it.

That they don't overhype Skyrim like they did with Oblivion.

The appearance of artifacts is something reasonable I think as they don't really require new mechanics to be implemented.

I want to see some skanky looking female armors. It's the unspoken law of RPG that skimpier armors provides more protection!

No, this is a major pet peeve of mine. TES has done a decent job of avoiding it (at least in the last two games), I'd prefer they continue to.

That's the job of the modding community, not Bethesda.

The game is likely almost finished at this point. There really isn't much you can say that would actually make a difference.

10 months left.

There's still plenty to do.

Anything that's likely to be a core component of the game engine will be too late though.

We can suggest they use more than 8 voice actors for the non-story NPCs.

Coping mechanisms. Seriously, game is probably in the testing phase mostly at this point in addition to voicework.

Well, anything that is not core-centric (which is quite a broad spectrum - basically, think of anything you could create in the CS) - quests, items, NPC's... There is a myriad of possibilities.

They need to limit fast travel to Major cities. Also if they are using the magic compass (which I don't think they are) they need to leave quest markers only to show the general area of the quest but not have quest markers inside dungeons or follow mobs directly.

... AND WEREWOLVES!!!

More unique weapons/weapon types!
Crossbows!
Harpoons!
Claw gauntlets!
Pauldrons!
Belts!
10 ring slots like the number of fingers people have, unique rings showing on models!
Wearing normal underclothes under your armor/robes over armor instead of having to change!
Equipment configuration switching (like from stealth to fighting, walking in town to exploring)!
Carrying torches and using stuff in both hands at the same time, or possibly allowing any hand using magic or any magic weapon to act like a torch with cool color shading!
Menus that don't take up the entire screen, better organization for items in bag, more items displayed on the screen with no endless scrolling down, especially for items used constantly!
(perhaps smaller text for item names, with clearer organization of items in inventory tree by item type (weapon/armor/gem/scroll/quest/armory tools/lockpicking and traps/crafting/food/books/potions), category (weapon type/armor slot/skill type), ranked by quality/value)
Loot teleportation... No, talking crab helmet that buys loot!
Your own settlement/fortress that you can upgrade with quests like in morrowind!
Owning businesses and reaping benefits from them like in assassin's creed/gta sa!
Npc's responding to your fame/achievements more often (especially if, say, you are in charge of the mage's guild, and nobody on the main quest even mentions it)!
Crime system based off of witnesses/items actually known to be stolen!
More side quest lines: guilds, becoming king of skyrim, powerful merchant, nordic artifact collector, etc!
Making running speed more consistent from start to end, so environments and combat are more balanced/believable (assuming sprint means that this is in)!
If a compass, one that isn't stupid, or too precise... Can direct you towards roads and general area but doesn't point right at location (you are nearby your destination.)
Survival mode!
Dragon riding!
Romance options!
Shapeshifting into a dragon bird!

Sorry for the caps, was just replying with crossbows and a couple inane exclamations but then I started having actual ideas... by the time I realized it I had already done so much in caps that there was no point stopping it.

I'd imagine they'd need to use more protection.

I would like a spell that transmutes loot into 1/10 of it's value in gold; for those surplus loot situations.
I would like warrior type characters to be able to smash locked doors/containers, but maybe damaging contents or setting off traps.
I would like a few treasure hunts where the location is not marked on your GPS.

Being able to sell constantly would just lead to even picking up crap and stopping every 15 minutes to sell and break immersion in the game, spending more time looking at lists of apples and forks.

I'm just hoping that you will only pick up stuff you actually want enough to take them back back to town or keep them with you, like more crafting supplies instead of tons of equipment you don't want. Of course, if you can smith weapons, I assume that anything made out of metal will be far more valuable to keep and melt down than in the past.

However, if they did add a talking crab helmet that would buy loot on the cheap (though you can never take it off once you put it on and you can only sell to it if you are wearing it) I feel like that would serve this purpose while balancing that utility and providing large amounts of humor on a regular basis.
