Alright so what type of Wastlander are you.

What type of weapons do you prefer?
How do you like to take on groups of enemies?
Are you a city-slicker or country person?

I just wanna know cause I'm interested in other peoples playing styles and cause I'm looking for styles to try myself. And please refrain from flaming and such crap.

my specialty is melee/unarmed
if i feel like going unarmed i use my ballistic fists with praetorian armor.
if i feel like going melee i use either a chainsaw or thermic lance with centurion armor.
my character is built for both melee and unarmed.
and obviously i side with the legion.

Well, currently in play my EW character.

Energy weapons of all sizes, from Plasma Defender to Plasma Caster, From Gattling Laser to Tesla Cannon.
Groups? Start with a snipe with the YCS, them assault them with other guns.
She has based herself on the Tops and Novac, so both.
Allegiance is NCR, better the devil you know...

See i'm more of a sniper character.
I pick off most of my enemies with a scoped rifle, then i go in and finish the rest with the ballistic fist.
And I side with House.

And @ToJKa: I use to use only EW in Fallout 3, but in NV i just find them so unpractical.

Well I like to make my character a man who was a courier, then after reaching Vegas, realizes the good House can do for the world. So he models himself as a pre-war suave man.

I boost his speech up high, I give him good barter. He's a capable 'agent' He has high Lockpick and Science, so he can pretty much infiltrate anything with stealth.

I'm actually working on a character like that ^

1. I prefer EW, but i use Guns cause well EW svck in FNV
2. If i like them i chill with them, if I don't I kill them
3. I mix it up, mostly city I love gambling
4. NCR usually
5. Neutral

I like any rifle of shotgun and melee.
I run into the middle of enemies and just shoot them or hit them.
Country
Legion or yes-man
I'm neutral, I do what I need to do to survive

My Favorite Weapons are guns and energy weapons, too be specific Brush gun, Anti-Material Rifle, and Tesla Beaton hehe
I like shooting any Legionary, Powder Ganger, Securitron, Great Khan, or Mr. House himself!
The Strip has to be my favorite place in the game other than Camp McCarren.
NCR of course, Corrupt bureaucrats but a strong Trooper and Ranger Force, as in they know what's up and always do the right thing..plus the NCR Desert Ranger Combat Armor is...AMAZING

What type of weapons do you prefer?

I use groups, I'm really into the vanilla weapons so I try one of each from several categories. Some of the ones I've played around with that I really like are the pushy, knock knock, chainsaw, brush gun, ranger sequia, throwing hatchets, hunting revolver, Anabelle, holy frag grenades, Mysterious Stranger's .44 Magnum, mantis gauntlet, Nephi's Golf club, blade of the east, liberator, lead pipe, fatman, YCS/186 and the riot shotgun. I use the modded Barrett M82 for Boone.

How do you like to take on groups of enemies?

I've been playing around with the Cortex Scambler, Fallout 3 Save Import Utility and Lone Wanderer Companion and the Remote Control Companions - Beta mods. Because of the number of companions I have and the power of my imported FO3 character, I've had to add IWS-Increased Wasteland Spawns just to keep my uber guys busy. In order for me to level up, I have to leave my companions back in the tent so when I'm alone, I just experiment with different weapons, guns/melee/explosives. I record a lot of the game for YouTube so whatever will give me the best effect for both my movies and my screenshots, I don't really have a preference. If I"m checking out a new companion combo, I often don't even battle, I let them do it and record or screen shoot.

Are you a city-slicker or country person?
Neither, I use the Portable Tent mod and just take my home with me. I have a couple tent buddies I use for the sixual Innuendo mod so they are just packed up and stay in the tent while I travel.

What factions do you side with?
Depends on who my vanilla companions are. If I have Raul, I go with the legion, Boone is NCR of course OR Yes man. Gannon is Yes man and if I'm playing a totally evil character, I'll I rarely play the other companions.

I go back and forth. My raiders are all evil, my legion guys are often evil and my female PC's are usually evil unless I make one for Boone.

Apparel: Reinforced Leather Armor and Biker Goggles.
Weapons: Chance's Knife, Power Fist, Boxing Tape, Spiked Knuckles, Shovel (For digging.), and fists.

Good question I didn't understand it at first haha, well I'd like to save the people for all seriousness. I just wish the NCR wasn't harsh on taxes. The only 2 things I don't like about them, the leaders..and the taxing. It's like they're being led by dike Cheney and Barack Obama, but the soldiers are something to be respected.

Usually a straight-shooter type, not into min/maxing, like seeing what I can do when 'underequipped' for a situation, and I don't like me or my companions being 'godly'. Most of the time. Occasionally being super-twinked out is funny.

What type of weapons do you prefer?
Ranged/rifles to start with. Lately tho I've become a pistol person. 9, 10, and 12.7 pistols. Not into the Cowboy thing.(yet)

How do you like to take on groups of enemies?
...initially & solo I'll sneak/snipe a lot more to see what's what and thin the herd, but whenever possible I tend to go for direct frontal or sideways attacks. And if you have even one companion, the bigger the crowd, the more fun it is.

Hm. Country/loner who still likes a few city conveniences.

1st Character: Guns + Energy Character, most points are poured into weapons. Good karma. Fought for the NCR.
2nd Character (current): Unarmed Character, more into non-combat skills aside from Unarmed. Excellent karma. Fighting for independence.
3rd Character (planned): Melee Character, built to be violent and heartless. Very evil. Fighting for Legion.

If I ever get around to a 4th, i'll probably do NCR again, but strictly NCR. I'll basically be a non-commissioned officer, doing exactly what they would want. Most likely a super-stealth sniper character. Suppressed sniper (or Ratslayer), fully modded 10mm pistol (or 12.7mm suppressed, later on), maybe a 12.7mm SMG if I can get hold of a suppressor for it. Along with explosives.

Cowboy weapons, that is, lever action and other old style guns.

Country person
NCR, but only because they are the only ones to stand up against Caesar.
Because I oppose Caesar's Legion and have no ambitions of my own, I tend to lean towards good.

Diplomatic sniper. If I'm getting close, we'll talk. If we got an appointment and I'm late, chances are I'm seeing you through the scope.

It all depends from the role I'm playing.

I just looked in the looking glass, and found myself in a quizical land full of playing cards and rabbits deathclaws.

One at a time, with riddles if possible.. if not one at a time with headshots.

I can get quite vexed on occassion, so in between.

Different every time.
The current character is a legionnaire and she never takes off her legion armor.
So she just about kills everyone who's NCR or NCR affiliated.
When I encounter enemies I just rush right on in.
The game is so ridiculously easy anyway so it's just cheating to wear any armor with DT above 10 or use sneak attacks.
So I rush in and spray, kinda hard to shoot cazadores with plasma weapons though..
She isn't a city person but she's not a savage either, she spends equal amount of town in civilized areas as she does in the wasteland.
She's mostly just Legion, she helps some others that she feels she wants to help, Kings, Followers, Boomers, but most other factions lie dead at her feet.
And evil? Good? I don't care about my karma alignment cause it doesn't mean anything.

The current character I am on is trying to become a superhero/vigilante in the wasteland after witnessing and being on the receiving end of the worst aspects of the Mojave.

He is quite intelligent and strong: preferring to use unarmed combat and energy weapons (explosives from time to time) and will be investing in some implants in the near future.
