I would love to see a post-apocalyptic Seattle, that would be amazing. There could even be a quest called "sleepless in Seattle".
Another great one would be Miami, imagine the mutated Burmese Pythons and crocodiles!
We have done here, how bout going there. China. Lets see how they ended up. Though that would require an entire revamp of the game.
I know Chicago like the back of my hand and exploring that wasteland would be a dream for me.
Anyplace that has honest to goodness landmarks. And gambling.
Somewhere over the rainbow. A.K.A., San Francisco.
Hopefully technology will have advanced far enough by then for a whole state
New Orleans, New York, Seattle, even Roswell, New Mexico maybe?
I support New Orleans. Lots of potential there. It'd feel a lot like Point Lookout. New York is assumed to be completely laid to waste AFAIK. Really no one mentions it at all in anything. I'd think if it weren't completely wiped from existence we would have heard something from people traveling. The boat from Point Lookout ran from DC up to the Commonwealth and down to the Broken Banks (OBX). Can't imagine NYC wouldn't have been a stop if there were anything left. Also, the BoS surely would have made a stop there on their way up to Boston if it were worth scavving for tech
I'm from Ohio and would love to see Dayton as a Fallout city. Maybe not as the main setting of an entire game but would be a cool DLC location. The big draw would be Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Hanger 18 of UFO fame. Dayton is also the home town of the Wright brothers so you could do a Mad Max version of the Wright B flyer.
I have a few other ideas I would like to see done as well.
Some where in the west where you could have a factions based on the old U.S. Cavalry. With things like the Pony Express, Stagecoaches, saloons, etc in the story line.
Another would be a location with something to do with the Civil war.
Where ever they go, please let the theme be about "war, war never changes" and not finding someone and blowing everything up along the way. The last fusion core factory still in operation would really drive the point home that people will still fight to the death over resources - the reasons the bombs dropped in the first place.
As in back west of Boston?
Seriously though, I really don't much care. I just want to see improvements in the RPG aspects of the game. I want to see actual ending slides complete with the same man doing the voicover for. I want to see...err...I don't want to see the return of the voiced protagonist, or the piss poor dialogue options we have for FO4.
I don't really mind Bethesda's vision for Fallout, but IMO, they listen to the fans (as in not those of us here) too much. The common fan of Bethesda games honestly doesn't know or understand what is best for the continuity of the series, and Fallout 4 does show that somewhat.
Now make no mistake, this isn't a rant over what I don't like about Beth or their games. I do like alot of things about it (FO4) but this post is already longer than I had intended it on being, and getting a bit off topic, so I'll just shut up now, and head off in that direction
Either somewhere in the southwest like Phoenix, Salt Lake City, or Denver. Or somewhere southeast in old cities like Charleston or New Orleans.
Also, there is already a thread for this: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1501546-official-future-fallout-locations-suggestions-28/
How about Toronto, Canada? Nuclear Winter (Skyrim-ish) and such. Maybe around the time when The United States "annexes" Canada (ref. Fallout 3). Close to Alaska (and China kinda) also.
Toronto, Canada, with surrounding towns like Mississauga, Richmond Hill, and Whitby/Oshawa.
