What class is most satisfying to play for you?

Post » Wed Nov 06, 2013 8:48 pm

Right now I'm on a dark brotherhood necro/battle mage. Sneak with one handed and archery plus destruction and conjuration. Its pretty fun. I'd say more fun than a normal theif but the whole theif aspect remains the coolest for me. Warrior is satisfying as hell too but its more basic than the other classes. Its still fun to plow through several enemies though. Though I could do that with a theif if I was dual wielding. But warrior is appealing in a different type of way like all classes. For me it goes like this

1.Any type of mage

2.Theif

3.Warrior

Warriors.

Love the sensation of sending my blade down a mages throat. Always running backwards throwing everything they got at me. Or charging at those fearful archers.

Weakling, the lot of them.

My favorite type of character is a stealthy sniper tactician. I get the most satisfaction in manipulating the situation, remaining unseen and taking long range shots with surgical precision.

I have been infatuated with long range projectiles my whole life. Games that offer a similar aspect will always be an attraction for me.

Battlemages, Spellswords, and Nightblades. So many ways to handle any situation. Just a lot of variety.

Witchblades and (non-lethal) thieves are the funnest classes that I have played thus far.

Though, sorcerers are the most OP class that I have played.

I always go with warrior. Even if I want a character that uses magic, I never go full-blown mage, but a mage warrior who specializes in both. I just feel like the warrior is the ultimate class for a character who saves the world.

Hell Yea. I use the bow most of time when I sneak and in similar games I'm a sniper type with an smg or something similar.

Sounds like it belongs in the lusty Argonian maid novel ;)

I like the Agent class from oblivion the best.

Always, my good man... always. I am an old geezer to start with. I don't move too fast anymore and that reflects in my gameplay. I'm not really that motivated with a run-n-gun attitude. I play FO, with a very slow and calculated presence in the game. That carries over into TES as well.

Now, That doesn't mean I don't entertain a variety of playstyles and on occasion I will get involved in creating a "charging loose cannon" character, but I'm most comfortable in a tactical environment. I like to set traps and place explosives. When I am caught, they have a hard time getting close.

Besides, I love a slow-mo killcam headshot form 2 cells away. that never gets old.

I like to combine the Bards college and Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood. The Bards just ups speech in order to talk prices for my liking and persuade more NPC

My favourite is a mixture of stealth and magic.

I bought Skyrim the day it came out and have great difficulty forcing myself to play a pure warrior. I've always considered melee to have less depth and to be less refined in some way.. I picture players in full smithed Daedric wandering up to drauger deathlords and mashing the attack button the on to the next opponent. I know I'm wrong and there is an art to parrying, moving in and out of range etc. I will start up a dual wield or sword and board character at some point. I've played 2H which was a lot of fun, especially the kill cams, but I didn't like the slow movement speed and perhaps it lacked depth.. maybe that was the way I was playing him though?

Stealth & bows. Or stealth and anything really.

Mage is fun for it's complexity with spells & a nice change from stealth. Warrior is alright, but my least favorite TBH, it's more interesting when combined with magic.

The build I always gravitate towards:

Archery, Sneak, Illusion, Light Armour, Conjuration for necromancy only, Enchanting

Daggers for up close if it goes wrong, but I don't heavily perk one handed as I don't go toe to toe often. On more mage oriented builds I throw in destruction & alteration

I find warrior with two hand tactical. Knowing when to swing and get out of range for a sprint critical and knowing when to block is fun.

That seems like depth for me. You could try ebony blade cuz it swings faster but it doesnt do much damage. Fights will be long and drawn out as well as tactical but its just on the extreme of low damage

Exactly. Skyrim is a bit different for me though. In skyrim if I'm not squishy I like to punish them for finding me. Thats basically the same as planting mines though.

Sounds like my Dark Elf. Sneak, Archery, Destruction, Necromancy, Enchanting except I train one handed for when I'm caught. Destruction comes into that too. I decided to not train Alteration. I suggest you go vamp lord if your a dark elf cuz you wont be as affected by the fire nerf.

Sneaking with bow and dagger. I love it when your skills are so high that the bow and dagger kill everything in one hit. I feel like a real assassin.

Oh sorry for basically saying what you already said. I didn't read all of the post. But to help with your problem dual wield is pretty fast when you get the perks. You cant block though. Its good for when you have a high armor rating or when you have enough stamina to take them out quickly without getting hit. With an armor capped theif its like a dictatorship lol.

Battleaxe barbarian and a pure mage are my favs, opposites I know but that's what makes it fun to switch between the 2...funny thing is I'm not a fan of Spellsword or a magic/warrior hybrid.

I started to enjoy an archer until I realized they limited the range that arrows actually do damage as if they need to balance out multiplayer mechanics :swear:
