I think night blade might be just assasin with dagger but I just want a melee and archer type character.

Ranger?

I've been thinking, and I'll probably make two characters from the off. A Ranger, and a Sorceress (pure Mage).

Then, once I establish whether or not the companions are actually decent, I'm going to bring Helena Aurelie to Skyrim. Apart from Mazoga, she's never really been able to be a "healer" that I want, like in combat, healing and buffing a tank. Fingers crossed.

When I saw the trailer I thought "I'm going to be him." The warrior fighting the dragon is the most epic warrior ever.

I'm rolling a Spellsword as my main character this time, I might still do a few hours with my traditional Dunmer Assassin once I get a hang of the game though

I'm curious to see how well 2 handers transition in Skyrim, so possibly a 2 handed female wood elf. Honestly it's a bit too early for me to be certain.

I have chronic restartitis, so most likely I'll be trying and researching different combinations and mechanics till I find one I'd like to play for a while.

What? A Nightblade is basically a Shadowmage with style more similar to stealth classes, wielding blades or bows, not staffs of sorcery.

Finding a playstyle in Skyrim shouldn't be as much of a problem because it lets you specialize as you go.

Im going to start out as a mage probably, since all the other times i started out as a warrior or archer. But im going to do what i did in oblivion...
Just make 3 different accounts that are based on a warrior, archer, and a mage.

I've always liked a stealth character with illusion and alteration. Kajits do this well. *holds up grammar nazi shield*
Depending if they fixed magic (well, more like drastically improved) I might make a spellsword.

First: Nord Spellaxe (Spellsword with Axe instead of Sword...), hoping for some awesome touch spells for this one.

Second: Fat Redguard Gladiator with a Claymore and, if possible, a loincloth and those straps and that pauldron everyone seems to be wearing.

PURE MAGE

I won't even touch a sword or armor

since classes are out I hope we get some basic magic at the beginning of the game, maybe the town shaman or wizard can teach us the basics at first

Probably a pure mage. Although I see that alchemy has been transferred under stealth, so I'm going to pick also that. Making potions and collecting herbs is one of my favourite parts of both Morrowind and Oblivion.

But anyway, I always play a caster because I like having a frail looking caharcter with enormous power and might.

Just like every first character I do... A warrior. Usually Imperial, though since this is Skyrim it is time to go Nord.

me personally i like a Stealth mixed in with the class i am. my last Oblivion Play though my stealth is maxed out. my acrobatics is maxed out and my marksmen skill is maxed. i'm more of a range type player pick them off from the shadows or kill them as they run at me. i try to mix it up every game so i may try something new in skyrim however i always have stealth as a main base skill. :shifty: anyway really nice ideas guys a lot of these i would have never thought of :P really creative well done

My first char is always a pure thief/assassin. I'll have him dual weild some poisoned daggers and enemies won't know what hit them.
