What class will you role first

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 5:47 pm

I put stealth/thief but I may end up being a warrior the first time through. It is really hard to make a choice right now.......I will have to wait and see what perks and signs and abilities each character has (I know they will probabaly be similar to Oblivion but I will still wait and see).

Well heres the thing: I always roll a thiefy/marksman but I take a long some helpful magic like alteration and that invisible spell one. Occasionally Ill pull out a short sword, but I am almost never a sword and shield guy...unless i get bored.

I usually start off with an Argonian thief/assassin, with a bit of restoration magic thrown in.

An Assassin (Specifically Shadowscale :turtle: ) but maybe a bit of a twist, and carrying a Katana (hopefully... :frog: )

I wll go for a spellsword/battlemage type first. I will go for blade and shield, and some healing and desctrucion spells in the mix.

First a warrior and then a mage. I don't like archers and thieves. :frog:

I'm gonna lean towards warrior. Using a sword and round shield like the one in the vid (I loved the Iron Shield in OB, still use it) Or Duel-Wield Swords When I wanna change it up. Leather Armor, Smithing Athletics. So yeah a light warrior.
Edit: What would be ideal is a Scimitar to use with the shield and when duel wielding a Katana and Wakizashi Combo

None of the above.
For a game without restrictions, people really like to break it down to 3-4 "classes", eh.

Definitely a thief/stealth assassin of some sort.. Bow + dual short swords or daggers of some sort.

I think these characters are the best contrast to the Mage I always play 2nd time around! :D

A rogue thief which tries to avoid combat, but uses fists and or daggers... as it'll be guaranteed that combat is unavoidable.

I hope knuckle dusters and punch daggers are in... even if just gauntlet style defence equipment.

Just so I understand for myself, there are no actual classes in this game, right? You dont pick your skills like in Morrowind and Oblivion that make your class? You just level up in general and use (and level up?) the skills you want, right? Just making sure.

So really you're asking for our character type. I'll probably play what I always play on RPGs which is some form of summoner. Lately in Oblivion, I've been trying to create a dark magic warrior who is essentially a tank that summons spirits and daedra. The RP is that of someone who harvests souls (Mysticism) to convert their essence into arcane energy (In Morrowind that was represented via Enchant which isn't in Oblivion as a skill but I can still collect soul gems to power my enchanted items). I'm having a mild character crisis because im debating between a couple skills I wanna use and my playstyle, but essentially I will play a very similar character in Skyrim. With Enchant back as a skill, I can play the character as intended (right now I can only truly play the character in Morrowind) although with Mysticism gone im curious to see where soul trapping now falls.

I will either go with the warrior-mage(more warrior than mage) or a warrior.

Dunmer Archer, mixed mail & leather, don t know if sword and shield or 2 handed axe yet.
Major archery, other weapon secondary, medium stealth.
Couldn t care less about MQ, i will only be involved as a consequence.

Sounds like a Shadowknight, a Dark Crusader who dabbles in Necromancy. V.Cool

Mage. Always mage. Never played trough either MO or OB with any opther class. Warrior = dull, hack this, slash that. Stealth = time-consuming, lurking, sneaking if you′re discovered = death (ok., fun in OB). Mage =power! (if the spellsystem isn′t destroyed).

Flimsy, pansy, 21st Century physicist (see: mage), drunk and later hungover, armed only with a never-ending glowstick (rave in the lab, I guess), and foolishly forgot the cold resist 10 parka. Has a panic attack whenever he sees undead, unnatural, or fantasy creatures.

Impossible mode is impossible.

That, or my standard thiefly parkouring badassery. I still have 253/254 days to decide.
